Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson

The location is great, the PATH train is right next to the hotel so you really don't need a car to get around! You get fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline right from the hotel and I highly suggest you take a walk along the waterfront in that area, it's really beautiful and on a Friday afternoon there weren't a lot of people around. This hotel claims to be completely renovated and while I think that the rooms seem mostly updated, the rest of the hotel lacks maintenance. The escalator was out of order and the carpet in the common areas is super worn and grubby. Our room was very quiet, spacious and well cleaned. We were able to check-in early but the front desk staff seemed to be annoyed and didn't provide any information regarding the hotel until we asked about it (breakfast info etc.). The staff at breakfast was fantastic, I want to specifically highlight Jelyn and Gabriel who provided excellent customer service. You can choose between a buffet breakfast and made-to-order breakfast but I would recommend getting the buffet option. Overall I would recommend this hotel and we would book another reservation!

Our stay at this property is always a wonderful experience. Each morning, my family looked forward to the hotel breakfast, which was consistently enjoyable and delicious. Every time we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by Dynaissah, who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We were often seated with our favorite waitress, JELYN, who is incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. Thanks to Jelyn, we were always well taken care of; her service is truly outstanding. We would also like to mention Keith, who was equally friendly and personable and contributed greatly to the welcoming atmosphere. The staff made our stay special, and we look forward to returning.

Simply one of the best and finest hotels I've ever been in. For venturing into NYC, it's an exceptional location.
