Overpriced, room with sea view - Instead of a sea view, your room window overlooks a construction site...it's noisy, the windows are dirty… Quite humid in the rooms, the air conditioner jumps from the comfort temperature to 19-20 degrees - you should not leave it on at night - you may catch a cold. The furniture is worn, stained, the beds are pushed together. breakfast selection is good. The walls between the rooms are very thin - there was a very loud party in the neighbour room 2 nights in a row - in general - do not pay for a room with a sea view - you will be waited on, besides they first offer a room on a lower floor with smoke and only if you complain they give you a room higher and of better quality, although you still do not get what you paid for…

Loved my 2 nights here. Perfectly positioned on the bustling Cat Ba seafront. I was part of a big group and keys were already available as soon as we arrived. The up to the room. Very well equipped and modern with luxury bathroom and comfortable bed making for a great nights sleep. The roof top bar is a great place to unwind after exploring the town, you can sit by the pool and watching the glorious sunsets while enjoying a well earned beer. The food in the restaurant was first class and the massage area is a great way of unwinding after a long day.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel’s Skybar offers some of the best views of the island, especially during sunset. The pool and gym facilities are excellent, and the massage was incredibly relaxing after a day of hiking. The staff made us feel very welcome.

Based on the hotel’s promo shots, this was the place I was looking forward to staying in the most on our trip to Vietnam. It was also one of the most expensive rates per night (including HCMC), so my expectations were high. Sadly, the room & the hotel failed to deliver. Overall the place felt quite tired. The foyer and dining room both needed a refurb. The room was clean-ish on first inspection but I did find a finger/ toe nail on the chair. Our bathroom door didn’t close, neither did the shower door and there was water damage to the doorframe that had gone unchecked for some time. Worst though were the cockroaches that came out in the bathroom at the dead of night, an experience that really put me off the place. We paid extra for a sea view room, and while this is no fault of the hotel, the beautiful bay you see in the hotel promo shots & visitor photos on TA is gone, filled in a turned into a huge building site. A decision made by central government that the locals aren’t happy with, but the view now doesn’t warrant the premium the hotel charges - unless you’re into building site sunsets.

Might be the best view here. Unfortunately still some construction going on but I wish I could come back one day to watch the sunset on the 17th floor with one of their stunning cocktails in hand. View, vibe, venue and value. A foursome of note.

First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work.

The place and ambience was top notch. Food was great. Special mention to ‘Cong’ who treated us super good. Kudos!!! A must visit. Being a vegetation we had limited options to try from but again, it was worth it all. Note: Hot coconut coffee was stupendous. Must try!!!

Cong served us this evening for an evening sunset , gave us info on their drink deal (happy hour) and got free drinks after the sun had set. The drinks were good, tasted fresh, and the gin and tonic was nice (and strong). Cong was excellent with all of the customers near us that had joined for sunset. Great guy!

Centrally located hotel, easy to walk to restaurants and other amenities. Room was spacious and clean.
