West Coaster Motel

We stayed one night during our trip around Tassie, stopping over on the drive from Hobart to Cradle Mountain. We booked a standard queen room, which was spacious and comfortable, with both a queen and a single bed—plenty of room so it didn’t feel cramped. The venue is conveniently located close to the main street, making it easy to head into town and visit the local Queenstown West Coast Wilderness Railway or take in the stunning views from Spion Kop Lookout. The motel also has its own restaurant on site, just a short 30-second walk from our room—perfect for a quick meal before settling in for the night.

Comfortable accommodation with all facilities. Good to arrange late check in and out, thank you.

I love the room with the view...big enough room for 3 people

Couldn't sleep on the bed because it was too soft and too low

Was comfortable but was probably not what we were chasing at the time.

Was probably more the town. Wasn’t a fan and should have booked in Strahan

Nice welcome from reception. Double bed in main room and two single beds in a separate bedroom. Lots of wall and ceiling lights as well as power points, including a second TV in the bedroom. Beds were comfortable and clean. Dinner was brought to the room. Complimentary coffee, tea etc available. Lovely to watch the rapid flow of the river nearby. , viewed through the motel windows.

Unfortunately we found dinner brought to the room wasn't the tastiest, but all other aspects of the stay were ok. Even though it was lovely having the Queen River flowing past, it was a constant natural noise which I enjoyed but found it hard to sleep. Bring ear plugs :-)

Bed very firm.
