West Coaster Motel

It was well equipped with all we needed.

The carpet needed a clean but the weather was terrible with rain and wind so probably difficult to get cleaned in this weather.

Large room for 3 adults. Easy work to train station and coffee shops etc.

Bathroom needed to be updated.

The motel was conveniently situated for us to walk into town and do the things we wanted to do in the area. The room was comfortable enough, but the photos seemed to indicate it was a bit more modern than it actually is. There was crockery and cutlery provided and stored in one of the drawers, which we appreciated. There was also a microwave, a toaster and kettle for convenience. When the restaurant did open on our 4th night there, it was very good. Good value, tasty food and friendly service.

The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable (especially over the course of a 4-night stay) and the pillows old and flat, which is a bit harsh on the neck by morning. The bathroom was okay but looks like the vinyl flooring is water damaged and the shower is situated in the bath. Up-side - at least it had a glass screen which is much better than arguing with a shower curtain. The only other disappointment was that their restaurant was closed the whole long weekend, when the place was packed with guests and only 1 other place to eat in town, which was booked out early.

The room smelt and looked like the 70s. The bathroom had mould. Tv had 2 channels that worked.

Beds are old and yuck Decor is straight outta the 70’s Not much has been done with this place since the 70’s I reckon. Disappointed as the choices to stay here are slim pickings.

Location, space, nice towels, awesome water pressure . Had everything we needed.

Our room was well maintained but dated; bathroom in particular showing its age.
