Very pretty, with great curb appeal.

Room was dirty, in need of cleaning and maintenance. From cobwebs and hair in the bathroom, to wrong size of headboard to bed that fell on us during the night. To the closet having vice grips holding the self’s up and electric wires running through the closet. Lamp on switch broken and had to unplug it to shut it off. You can hear the other guest in the other rooms. One very loud guest that knock on our door to inform us the electrical was out and he was taking the initiative to talk to the property manager. Very odd experience. Broken banister spokes. Long time for hot water to make its way upstairs. Felt like an event venue over a b&b. nothing like any B&B I’ve ever stayed at.

The property was very beautiful. The room was clean and quaint. We xhecked in after hours and were able to gain access easily w instruction.

I like the location from the event I was attending. It was a 10 min drive.

This is an actual house so you are sharing the house with other guests. The person in charge of cleaning is literally in the house doing chores. The self check in is unnecessary due to this. She is inside the house up and down the stairs, having conversations not using an inner voice. I was not able to rest she was up at 6 am in the kitchen throwing pans and pots in the kitchen knocking doors to see if the guest were going to eat and check if we were still there since I opted last minute not to eat breakfast since I hadn’t rest.

The setting is lovely, with a Deep South feel, and the price was reasonable. The grounds: wonderful magnolia trees, hydrangeas, gardenias, oak trees with quaint signs, etc. were quite enjoyable and sitting at a little wrought iron table or in the wooden swing was quite pleasant. Twinkle lights at night around the property were inviting and set the mood. Keyless entry to house and room was nice and communication w/ owners was fairly easy and prompt. The housekeeper/cook ("Jackie") was very nice and helpful when I saw her. Everything, though not highest quality, was clean. The bed was especially comfortable! [Sidenote: I know it's part of the name, but it was humorous to see (dead) palm trees in this otherwise iconic setting. I live in AZ and they just looked out of place, as did some of the desert decor in my room. When I come "home" to GA, I want to see southern!!😉 For the record, I did not have a family room with a garden view, as it says below.]

Breakfast was simple (scr. eggs, toast, bacon, juice) and tasted okay, but no choice except tea or coffee (not very good), served on flimsy styrofoam plates; was expecting simple china or "real" plates/faux china plasticware based on the theme & demo area for bridal parties. There were bottles of water available, but no kitchen access for ice/maybe a snack (none set out), nor for special dietary needs (wanted to get my own plant-based creamer/yogurt, but didn't after tasting coffee and realizing the kitchen was under lock and key.) Free parking, but have to park in big lot behind row of trees, not near house. Came in at night a couple times (visiting a relative in hospital), was a little difficult to get my bearings in parking lot til auto-light came on; my last night, NO other cars around, though I did hear another guest come in later; it was a little eerie. BEWARE if you have knee problems: most rooms are upstairs: 7 steps to get to porch + 15 to get to second floor where the rooms are. I just went off the pictures; mistakenly thought it was a ground floor room. Nowhere to sit, other than the breakast room, in the house. No chairs in the room, only the bed; the afore mentioned pre-set bridal tea room and sitting room behind it were marked "Private - No Entry." There were lots of spaces outside, but no bueno when it rained. The room had a very comfortable bed, but it, nor headboard were attached to anything! There was a closet, but it had items in it and no light bulb; had a hard time seeing what I was putting there, because the only light in the room was a lamp on opposite side of room, which had no switch. I had to unplug it to turn it off! The shower was adequate, towels nice, but very little space in the bathroom to put any toiletries at all. Several items in slight disrepair.

Loved staying here. The surrounding garden and gazebos are beautiful. The housekeeper Jackie was very helpful and timely with the breakfasts. The room was smaller than I expected but the bed was very comfy and I liked the window placement. Some critiques to be helpful, the door locks are all digital and they turn "off" (hence unlocking the doors) during a power failure. This could potentially create a security issue, so maybe adding a manual lock inside each room would be a good idea. During our stay, there was a brief power failure (probably due to thunderstorm), that's when I discovered the door locks unlocking. Another thing would've been great is to have a small refrigerator inside the room to keep fruits/drinks/salads cool. A large refrigerator in the shared area would also be a good alternative. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. Will definitely consider staying here again when I revisit the area.
