I stayed at Roomz with my 7‑year‑old and had a fantastic experience. Check‑in was quick and informative, and the reception area was spotless. There’s a small shop on site for essentials, plus comfortable seating areas where you can relax with a hot drink—complimentary morning croissants were a lovely bonus! Our studio room was much more spacious than expected. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The location is excellent—right by the riverside, making it peaceful and quiet at night, yet only about a 10‑minute walk into the main town. There’s also a beautiful park nearby in the opposite direction, with a great children’s playground—perfect for families. We would definitely return and happily recommend this hotel to friends and family!

A quiet location 15 min walk to town centre. Good size room and bed, and the bathroom was also a good size with very good water pressure

The hotel was spotlessly clean in the communal areas and our room. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfy. We had a studio for two of us and there was plenty of room to move about. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the free croissants and hot drinks in the morning were an added bonus.

We had a couple of things lacking in the kitchen like a a jug, a larger saucepan and wasn't really anywhere to eat food we cooked. A small two seater table would probably work well.

Stayed here for 4 nights over the may bank holiday weekend , great location next to the river, walking distance to center of york. Booked a grande studio overlooking the the river, the apartment was great size, everything was clean and in working condition. Check in was smooth and quick, all the staff I encountered was friendly, professional and eager to helpful. The location was excellent and was very location. I would return in the future next time I am in york.

The location is a 10-15 mins walk to the centre of York, and we find the walk along the river a pleasant one. It was partly why we chose the property, but also because it's nice to be in a quieter spot. We overlooked the caravan park behind and had the top floor which likely helped for quietness. The room had everything we needed, except for an extra towel for hair washing and some kitchen roll/paper towel would be useful as the tea towel had a lot of lint. The seats were comfortable in the room and we slept ok, but would prefer to see the softer beds updated and the sheets were a bit weird (no top sheets, and king duvet cover on a twin duvet meant we had weird long flapping sides). Staff were all lovely and professional, hot drink and croissant breakfast is a nice touch. We would definitely choose to stay here again as found the stay good value.
