Heel leuk zwembad

Zonnestoelen waren hard

Clean rooms and well-maintained shared facilities with hot water. The food was good and there’s a nice young atmosphere. Considering the remote location, they are doing a great job.

Hostel has a nice social vibe. Really easy to meet people and nice activities. The location is really nice because it's close to Semuc. Bed was comfy.

The food and menu had mostly fast food on it. I also got sick during my stay here, either from the food or from the cave tour. The bathrooms weren't so nice, felt a bit like a barn. And the reception was always really busy, so you could not go there for a quick question, which was really frustrating when I was ill.

Het merendeel van het personeel is heel vriendelijk en opgewekt, het zwembad en de locatie zijn top, de douches zijn comfortabel.

Dit hotel, gekenmerkt door een massaal en commercieel karakter (werkelijk voor elk detail wordt geld in rekening gebracht), kent een zeer luidruchtige sfeer. De muziek in het eet- en ontspangedeelte staat 's avonds heel hard en voor de recreatieve activiteiten, zeker die met drank in het spel, wordt s'avonds urenlang in de microfoon geschreeuwd. Aan dit rumoer is onmogelijk te ontsnappen, zelfs niet in de verder afgelegen privékamers. Ook ronkt er iedere nacht een diesel-aggregaat nabij de kamers waardoor slapen de volle drie nachten, zelfs met oordoppen, voor mij persoonlijk nagenoeg onmogelijk was.

The friendly staff and the food was delicious

Lack of hot water in the shower. Thin walls. Should be more accommodating to elders, or people with walking issues. For example offer tuktuk instead of walking hilly gravel road.

Schone kamers en faciliteiten! Je kunt lopen naar semuc en het zwembad is echt een heerlijke chill plek. Eten is kwalitatief goed en alles is netjes geregeld. Zou het zeker aanraden!

Locatie en sfeer hostel

Wifi was niet goed

4 Person dorm was amazing . I was in one of the small huts next to the pool. Location next to Semuc Champey was amazing. The Staff was super fun and cool and they had lots of offers and activities

One night it got super cold. It’s not their fault, but they didn’t have enough blankets for everyone. Also there’s hardly any options to eat apart from the on-site restaurant. The breakfast options are amazing and the lunch/dinner is pretty good too, but it’s kinda pricey and you can’t bring your own food. Also there’s hardly any is a lot of construction going on so it gets noisy during the day and looks like a construction site in some places
