Hotel Burg Trendelburg

The castle is so unbelievably fantastic with surroundings like taken straight out of a fairy tale. Very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, we had a fantastic three course menu with local wines. The breakfast was delicious with a huge selection Good parking conditions in the adjacent square

As it is an old medieval castle, you must be prepared that there are quite a few stairs. If you have difficulty walking, this is probably not a good choice. Fortunately, we had no problem and will definitely come back and visit this wonderful place

Excellent food & service, clean rooms, friendly people. Met interesting guests. Interesting castle features to see. Good exercise by climbing stairs Hotel provides robes but we did not need them. Also a romantic surprise. upon arrival.

Hard walk with luggage up hill from bus stop to castle. Hotel's wi-fi Internet reception limited to entrance hall and a small nearby area of dining room.

I am a big fan of fairytales so this was a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel and the whole area were absolutely gorgeous! It's such a unique experience to stay in a castle so I am happy to have had the opportunity. Breakfast and the view from the Breakfast area made us feel like royalty.

We arrived late at night and the instructions on Google maps were not clear. It was very scary to be honest. Thankfully a neighbor saw our struggle and came out to guide us to the reception area. The Castle room we stayed in was very hot and the bed creeks with the slightest movement. I tried opening the window but that let in the mosquitoes! A simple solution would be a net on the windows so air can get in and have a simple standing fan near the bed. It would of been an amazing 5 star experience if we could sleep at night. We were thankful we only booked one night.

Burg Trendelburg is a breathtakingly stunning place. What a superb hotel. Staffed by enthusiastic, polite, attentive staff, it is a historic gem abundantly furnished with antiques including suits of armour, etc, befitting of a castle. I won't spoil the surprises by telling you of all the things you can discover at Burg Trendelburg, but, believe me, it is worth staying there. Our room was one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. We booked the dinner, bed & breakfast rate which was good value, too. We will definitely return, and probably take friends there so they can enjoy it too.

A great spot off thevbeaten path halfway between Amsterdam and Berlin. We met up with old friends and had a wonderful time
