Hotel Burg Trendelburg

Really nice place and very friendly staff

The beds were a bit soft, but they had the perfect royal look

Only one night in this fabulous old castle. It was a lovely place to stay. We ate on the terrace due to the hot weather. It was just perfect sitting in the sunshine. We had a lovely meal which was a fixed 3 course. Very enjoyable. Loved the whole experience.

A beautiful building with great views. Wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Original booked double room was very small with 1 tiny window and at the top of 3 flights of stairs - paid a lot to upgrade to larger room. Lovely old interior to building but very hot without aircon.

It was a beautiful location! The breakfast was wonderful. Don’t miss climbing the tower and checking out the dungeon.

We paid for half board for three people (dinner and breakfast). It was a different price than just two people on Booking. When we checked out the staff insisted the dinner for the third person was not paid for- and the dinner was an abysmal, very over priced, low protein vegetarian meal. I reached out to Booking and they did not respond. It almost ruined the stay. Don’t bother paying in advance for dinner- it’s the same exact price and if you wait and pay there you can pick exactly what you want. Fortunately, this was the start of our trip and the only extra charge we experienced with our Booking hotels.

Amazing location, with an amazing history and stuffed full of artefacts. Our bedroom was in one of the towers. We also explored the Rapunzel’s tower and ventured into the cellars.

The curtains didn’t quite cover the windows and so let in the morning sunlight.
