Apartment Rua Formaggi

Lovely little apartment in the heart of the historical quarter. The apartment was very clean, spacious and a perfect base for exploring Palermo.

Minor issues with leaking air con in main bedroom and couldn’t work oven which would have been issue for longer stay

The location was very central and it was convenient to reach all the main touristy sights. The property is very spacious.

I really don’t know why this property has such a high rating still as there’s definitely a few things that need improving. First of all there wasn’t enough hot water for 2 persons for a QUICK shower one after another in the morning and in the evening. We flagged that up with the host who promised to come round and check that (raised the temperature in the boiler) but nothing changed and we just suspected nobody had came over to fix it. The kettle’s lid was broken- it didn’t close properly so we had to put sth on top of it when putting the kettle on. Also there is a problem with the lock on the entrance door - we struggled every single time to open/unlock the door when getting in to the property and the first day when we arrived the host advised us to ask a neighbour for help which we did. Overall it felt like the property is still benefiting from the high rating from a few years back but the current standard is not really reflecting the high rating.

2 flights of stairs, although over 70 years we are fit enough to get suitcases up stairs but some people probably couldn't so should be advised. Shower head was loose, wouldn't stay up. Hot water was limited to 2 showers only but we were 3 people. The toilet seat would not stay up, it fell down as you were sitting

Everything was wonderful. It is a beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated apartment. I will absolutely be recommending it to my friends
