Villa Santi Hotel

Gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of historic Luang Prabang. Charming villa hotel with lovely second story restaurant overlooking the main street. hotel staff went way above the call of duty to be helpful. Room - in back building annex- was pleasant, decorated in traditional style.

Property, service and location are great. Swimming pool is more of a dipping pool. Beds need upgrade.

Perfect location, very quiet and comfortable room. Air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, too noisy to run at night and sleep, luckily the weather was cool enough not to need it. Elephant fountain over pool is worth seeing. Complimentary breakfast on the balcony each morning is superb and the complimentary airport transfers in an open air golf cart just add to the fun. Definitely worth staying here. Booked through Hotel.com and there was absolutely no hassles and the price was excellent.

Staff were helpful when i had to change plans and need a room a day earlierthan planned. Turned up at reception off a bus and after a short time was given a room.

For one had large bed, or could change to twin if different room available. Decor in traditional Laos -French furniture with weavings by local women. A change in tour meant I was back at hotel earlier than expected and they were able to accommodate my request with a smile and willingness to help. I felt like a valued customer.

We thought this was a wonderful hotel, great location and service.

Perfect location, good friendly service, and nice facilities. Would stay there again. Right in the middle of the town and the main street - the staff can help with arranging tours, navigating around the town, and even providing the food to give alms during the daily morning ritual. The Villa Santi is a great choice to stay in Luang Prabang. It is located on the main street where all of the nice restaurants and shops are located. The rooms are fine and clean, and a good value for the price. The breakfasts, which are included with all of the rooms, are very good with plenty of food choices. The reception staff at the hotel speaks English well and were very helpful in booking tours and taxis back to the airport. The hotel is also located half a block from the best French-Lao restaurant in town "L'Elefant" and also a lovely wine bar (across from "L'Elefant") and surrounding nice boutique stores. We enjoyed our several night stay at the Villa Santi and would certainly return there upon a future trip to LP. While Luang Prabang, make sure to go to the Palace Museum and the daily night market, which are both walking distance from the hotel as well as the many lovely Buddhist temples which are all also walking distance from the hotel. The Mekong river is only 2 blocks down from the hotel, where you can take the boat tour of the Pak Ou Caves which contains hundreds of Buddhas. Although the caves were nice (nothing spectacular), the 2 hour trip up and down the Mekong is what made this excursion memorable. While in LP, you can also visit the Elephant camps and several waterfalls. Lots of tour agencies in town as well for price comparisons. It's hot in Laos so bring light clothing.

The good news is that this is the best location for LP - right on the main street where the monks walk in the early morning. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast is very good. The rooms need serious updating - our first room smelled musty so we were given the same room a few doors down that was ok but the beds are not good - felt they would collapse under serious weight or movement. We took the van to the Villa Santi hotel/spa just outside town & enjoyed the pool & some amazing spa treatments. Overall would recommend this hotel for visiting such a special place.

staff were fantastic. positon in Luang Prabang is as good as it gets for access to all that can be enjoyed in the area. room was comfortable with mattress that was very acceptable to an indolent traveller. allready looking forward to a return visit and will definitely stay at same hotel, only for a longer period next time! Breakfast was excellent.
