Location, access to ski lifts, shopping for groceries and free transportation around town make this place a great pick if you want a mix of skiing, shopping and eating.

"Location doesn't outweigh the lack of cleanliness and communication."

2.0

First the pros and the only reason for 1 star: the location is great, close to the quicksilver list, ski rentals literally downstairs, close to shops and bus stop, and wonderful ski valet and front desk people. Cons: not terrible, but the parking garage and learning your way around the 3 buildings is difficult. We were in building A, and the front desk, ski valet, fitness center all in building C. Our building was old and had no comfortable lobby. Now for the really terrible: we stayed in unit 1313. Got a message 1 hour before checkin that dishwasher was broken. Upon arrival, kitchen trash hadn't been taken out from previous guests. I didn't get too upset until I got ready to make breakfast next morning. Almost every dish, glass, pan, utensil was FILTHY! I'm guessing dishwasher has been broken for awhile. Sent message to rental company, with pics of dishes. Also no stopper for sink to handwash dishes. Only got a sorry. No offer to fix dishwasher in the 5 days we were there or offer of a sink stopper to run dishwater. Horrible communication, would never stay here again.

"Location Great but Unit Needs Work"

4.0

The location is very convenient for shopping, restaurants, and slopes. I especially like the ski valet service offered. However, our unit 1201 had some issues that made it less than an ideal stay. The fireplace did not work (confirmed by the front desk who stated the owner had not fixed it), and the second bedroom had two rollaways with springs sticking into our teenager's backs. The pull-out sofa was broken and unusable. The closets were full of items like fans, and extra boots making storage a challenge. I tried storing some items under the bed and noticed a thick layer of dust. Our sink was leaking in the master and let the front desk know. They sent someone to look at it and he stated he needed more tools. He did not return to fix it before our departure. This unit needs a major overall cleaning.

"UNREPAIRED SEWAGE LEAK IN OUR BATHROOM AND RESTAURANT BELOW!"

2.0

On the first full day at our Main Street Station condo, a maintenance guy came in to check our bathroom. He determined the toilet was leaking. Not the clean water from the tank, but the water as it enters the sewage system: Blackwater. The next day, it still was not fixed. The sewage water was still dripping into the restaurant below. Enough had leaked in our bathroom that it had completely soaked our shower mat and was puddling behind the toilet. Additionally, they had not sanitized our bathroom. This was a health hazard to us and everyone working and eating below us! I approached management and told them we were leaving and I wanted a refund for the days we did not use. I could have asked for a full refund since we were so inconvenienced. The manager at first wanted to give us another unit, but I had selected our unit w to limit noise (many units in this complex get noise from two very busy roads) and for medical reasons - no higher than the second floor. I also didn't want to pack, move, unpack and repack. I politely told her "no" and she agreed to refund our money for the final five days. Problem is that she refunded us $25/day. Our cost per day was over $250! This is after promising a full refund! To recap: Sewage water on the floor and leaking into the restaurant below. No sanitation of our unit. No fix in 24 hours. Management lied to us. A refund of less than 10% of our cost. The quality of a hotel is determined by how they treat you when things go wrong. Vacasa and Main Street Station failed miserably. They let us live with sewer water on our floor for a day with no fix scheduled. They let sewer water drip into a restaurant below our condo. Management lied to me about a refund. Ask yourself if this is the kind of place you want to stay. Look at my reviews. There are over 100 and they are fair. I don't do this just to go after bad experiences, but when when a company is this bad it should be called out. Main Street Station was one of the two WORST EXPERIENCES I've had in all of my travels, whether in the US, Europe, or Asia. Do yourself a favor and STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE!

"Great room, horrible parking situation"

2.0

I should have listened to the other reviews. My trip was great yet ended on a horrible note. The reason I chose this location was due to the FREE parking they advertise on thier website, and, well...everywhere. They do NOT offer free parking, because I recieved a $77 ticket for parking in the hotel parking garage. Upon arrival, the staff hands you a map and circles your building, and the area which you can park. They assure you, that "everything is color coded and easy to understand". Here's the problem: When you make your way down into the garage, if you are staying in the WEST building which is marked as "A" on the map they hand you - the elevator section is coded green. If you are staying in the EAST building which is coded "B" on the map they hand you, the elevator section is coded yellow. However, if you are staying the WEST building, you can only park in the yellow A parking and if you are staying in the EAST building, you can only park in the green B parking. Still following? After trying to figure that out (on my own, because the staff doesn't bother to explain this clearly), I understood I needed to park in the yellow A section for my building. I displayed my parking tag as instructed clearly on the rearview mirror. I went through the little gate in the garage, only to see that there was no clearly marked parking for yellow "A", but there was an abundance of green "B" parking. Another thing they do not explain upon check in, is there are only a very limited number of spots availible in the yellow A section - if any - so, any vehicle that is large and takes up 2 spots or anyone who doesn't know how to park, taking up 2 spots, really limits your parking capability. After walking around the garage, trying to figure out how and where I could park, a large truck that was taking up two spots, finally moved out of a yellow "A" section, so I immedietly parked my car there. On either side of my car, I saw nothing but "A" on the concrete columns which had yellow and was near the yellow painted elevator. You can imagine my suprise when we go to leave at the end of my stay, where I discover a parking ticket for $77 on my windshield. Thinking it was a big mistake, I went to the front desk to speak to someone about it and Christina was there. I explained the situation and she assured me that "the HOA always waives the tickets when this happens." She took the ticket from me. I asked for some type of confirmation (she kept taking calls even though I was in front of her, which made me feel like I was bothering her) and she said I could take a photo of the ticket, but she needed the ticket in order to get it waived. She said someone wouldn't be in until Tuesday to confirm that my ticket was voided. Instead, I get a call back from Christina on Monday to inform me via voicemail that the picture on the parking ticket CLEARLY shows I am parked in retail parking and I will need to pay this fine. Are you kidding me? I pay $800+ to stay at this hotel due to the advertised free parking, dispay my parking tag clearly on my mirror, and then I recieve a parking fine for parking in the yellow "A" marked area? Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this location. The map doesn't really match the actual parking situation in the garage, and frankly, it's extremely confusing and not well explained by the staff upon check in. Christina could have taken the time to listen to me, look at the ticket received, reviewing the photo on the ticket as well as my own photos that I offered to show her, but she didn't bother. I felt like I was brushed off in the moment, with every intention of calling me the next day to tell me: too bad, so sad - you have to pay this afterall. What a waste of money and time. Do not stay here unless you plan to pay almost $100 extra for parking fines.

"Location is great. Condo was a nightmare!"

4.0

We stayed in the Main Street Station, Unit #1503, for a week with our family. The location is great...walking distance to the slopes and Main Street! But it is hard to explain in a short review all the disappointments we experienced with the condo itself and communication with management...or lack thereof. First, the front desk people sent us down to the parking garage to find the “green” elevator that would take us to our condo. There is no signage and after wondering around the garage with all our luggage, we finally had to call someone down to show us. It was beyond frustrating. When the ski valet guys attempted to bring us our skis, they had to call 3 times because they were given wrong directions within the buildings. It was like the Twilight Zone! The mattresses were so hard and uncomfortable in every bedroom...such a disappointment at the end of a long day on the slopes when you need a good night’s sleep. That is unacceptable by any standard! The furniture in the living room is so worn out that you can feel the frame through the cushions on the chairs and couch. The info book for the condo had a non-working number for Great Western, the management company. There were no instructions about how to reserve time in the pool or in the fitness area. And when I tried to find out who had this information, I had to make multiple phone calls because I was told over and over, “Oh, that’s not one of our properties.” And then I was given another wrong number to call. If it weren’t for the location, I think our review would be a 1 star. I sent a message through our travel agent that the owner of this condo should not be allowed to rent it until all these issues are addressed and the items updated. We would NOT recommend this unit to ANYONE!

"Disappointing, aging property misrepresented"

4.0

This place is aging poorly and overpriced. Only thing going for it is location to Main Street and walkability. We stayed on the top level #2404 are were not informed at time of booking that the condo still had some construction work to be completed. See photo. We had to call ahead to find out that hot tubs and fitness center not available (Why not inform people pre-booking?). Bathmats dirty, no batteries in tv remote. Only one day's worth of coffee supplied etc. Will not be staying here again.

"Disappointing, overrated/misrepresented condo"

4.0

We stayed in Main Street Station 3402. The description said to" enjoy the view on your private balcony"... it went downhill from there. The "balcony" is a cat walk, not wide enough for even a chair. We chose this place because we were looking forward to time outside on our "private balcony". When I contacted management, I was told that because we booked directly with VACASA, THE management company there was nothing they could do for us. Katie at the front desk said she would contact the manager and that he would be contacting me... didn't happen. The website says they allow 1 day in between stays for cleaning. When we came to check in the unit had just been cleaned from a rental that left THAT morning. We were asked to take off our shoes at the door. After walking around the unit for a little while I notice the bottom of my feet were BLACK. The floor was filthy! It was soo bad that I had to wash my feet before I could get into the bed. There was women's hair all over the couches and all over the bedspread in the master bedroom. The counter tops were BLACK as well, with dried on food. There were TWO pans, both of which should have been thrown away. The ice maker did not work, there was ONE rack in the oven and someone put coffee grounds in the water reservoir of the coffee maker so the brewed coffee was full of grounds. There was no spatula, try flipping eggs or pancakes with a wooden spoon!! The dishwasher is missing many wheels and so you had LIFT the shelves out to put the dishes in and out, VERY outdated. This unit was large and spacious and VERY expensive. I truly felt like were were sold a bill of goods and would NOT recommend Vacasa rentals to anyone. All and all a very disappointing vacation and use of my hard earned money.
