Super 8 by Wyndham Taos

There have been efforts to remodel. Bed was comfortable and clean.

There is no elevator. Luggage must be dragged up steps. Paint jobs are edged onto floor making it look unfinished or dirty. They left an old bed cover on the bed that did not match the rest of the room.

Close to old town shops

Noise after 10pm through to the morning. Even had dogs barking that shouldn’t have been allowed there. Supposed service dog but there were two of them barking so loud at 2am that could be heard in the downstairs lobby as I complained.

It was comfortable and spacious.

It was a little hard to locate, there were too many teenagers smoking weed and being noisy until way past midnight. The exterior door was very hard to open. Breakfast was very minimal.

Not much...we were originally booked for two nights, and due to a delay earlier in our vacation, we could not make it to Taos until the second night of the booking. My fault....I did book with a no modify or cancellation, but felt they could have easily accommodated us by bumping up the reservation a day. Anyway, we paid for two nights, but just as well, we were ready to move on after one night. There was very little communication between the Super 8 and Booking.com. Therefore, I will not use Booking.com in the future and be more aware of cancellation details.

There weren't many cars in the lot, with a late check on of 10PM. So, we were given a room close to the office. We could hear someone checking in at 2:30AM, that woke us up. Then, later in the morning we were awakened again from noise in the lobby. It would have be nice to be down the hall, away from all the noise. Housekeeping knocked on the door, before 9AM. My drivers license was xeroxed at check in, and I fortunately realized during the night that I did not get it back. Had to ring a bell several times to get someone's attention to retrieve my license from the front desk when checking out.
