Howard Johnson by Wyndham Galveston

The exterior was a little rundown, as it was an older motel and there was no elevator. However, our room was very clean and the bathroom was immaculate. An awesome value.

Noisy. Next to a gas station, semi truck running all night. Also someone running TV and AC. Mediocre breakfast. Otherwise decent and budget friendly place to stay. But not for us. Too muggy and industry town.

Very clean, friendly staff. Great price for basic hotel. Will stay again. Only complaint, minor, is very limited breakfast. No big deal. Go eat at a restaurant with the money you save.

We had requested an early check in as we had just disembarked from a cruise and the rental car wasn’t available; they took care of us and even showed us to our room. We lucked out and got the accessible room which was fairly large with a refrigerator and microwave. The internet was fine and the only thing we noticed was that you could hear the people in the room next door but they quieted down early enough. I would stay here again; apparently they have cruise parking for $10/day. The Uber ride from the port was $17 and there is a minimart across the driveway and a mom and pop eatery across the street.

Good n Clean Would stay there again. Only one drawback was the evening and morning train. However, they didnt operate at night

Unacceptable room quality. Water in bathroom dripping and would not turn off. Rust in the bathtub. Smoking room that reeked of cigars. No closet to hang clothes. Huge spider in the room. Left right after checking and manger would not give a refund. There for 10 minutes and got charged for 2 nights. Manager was extreemly rude.

There was a winter storm in Texas, so to get here I had to leave my home earlier than expected. I got here 30 minutes before posted check in, they wanted to charge a $15.00 early check in fee. Needless to say there were several people waiting to check in. This is the first hotel that has done this to me. On another note, the room was clean, was good for overnight stay.

Front desk was polite. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. 10 minutes from Seawall. Off of I-45. Nothing fancy. Has fridge and microwave. Door opens to parking lot.

Room was clean and comfortable. Would use again for one night stay post cruise. Close to port , for easier access to drop off.
