The Pines Lodge, a RockResort, by Vail Resorts

We adore the Pines Lodge! Been staying here at least once a ski season since about 2003, soon after it reopened after a major renovation. Love, love, this place. Can't say enough good things about it!

Ski in/out. Nice room, friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is overpriced for the selection.

We have stayed before at this hotel and we loved it that’s why we decided to go back except that this year they decided not to clean the rooms daily as they used to and as the price we paid corresponds. Also, they decided to outsource the breakfast service which now is awful, poor selection of choices to eat and it is exactly the same every day so after 5 days you definitely don’t want to eat there. Also, since it is a different provider you are forced to take your credit card with you instead of charging it to the room as it should be in this kind of hotels. Definitely we won’t go back next year.

We were there for 5 nights and supposed to get cleaning every other day. But we only had it once during the trip. There was always trash (pizza boxes, food debris, and stuff from other rooms piled on the table in the hallway outside of our room). It just seems like the hotel has gone downhill from a few years ago. Used to feel much higher end, cleaner, etc. On the positive side, the rooms are large and the valet staff was fantastic. That’s about it.

Beaver Creek is beautiful!
