Nice location within the heart of the Navy Yard. Easy walking to Restaurants, Bars, Shopping. Area around was clean and felt very safe. We went to a wedding at the District Winery which too was a great place.

Dillon, the valet was so sweet, helpful and positive! I looked forward to seeing him in the mornings! He opened every door for everyone and kept me company while I waited for my Uber.

Always a pleasure staying at the Thompson DC! The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The location is perfect with plenty of (scenic) walkable stores, delicious restaurants/bars, gyms ... close to the metro and an easy mile walk to the Capitol Building, 30 minute walk to the start of the Mall and Botanic Gardens. My go to place every time I am in DC.

Always enjoy my stays at the Thompson. The rooms are great, and the location is perfect. But the real standout is the staff…everyone is extremely helpful and friendly…from the front desk (especially Ryan and Aaleyah), to the bellmen, to the bartenders and servers. I look forward to my next visit!

Wonderful stay, very close to everything we needed! Ryan was helpful at the front desk and Dana went above and beyond to make sure the wedding we came to attend went on without a hitch!

Dylan at valet was fantastic! However, the other valets had large gaps in service. Ordered a car and after 40 minutes no one was even going to retrieve it (confirmed in the app) . Luckily, I wasn't going anywhere important so I took a Lyft but could easily lead to someone missing a flight or something. Everything else at the hotel was fantastic but Dylan's professionalism, positivity, and service stood out in particular.

I was very impressed with my stay. Great value for the location, clean and comfortable room, and a welcoming atmosphere in the lobby. The biggest differentiator of the experience was Nevell, the gentleman working valet. He was always around and always helping, seemed to be going above and beyond every time I talked to him.

Dylan always greets you with a smile on his face regardless what time of day he is working. It is nice to feel welcome with his wonderful hospitality. He is a reflection of truly great staff and customer service overall. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The title says it all. This hotel and staff were exceptionally amazing. I arrived at the Thompson during Howard homecoming weekend. Even though I arrived after midnight, the staff accommodated me and the check in process was smooth. The hotel room was clean and equipped with all necessary toiletries (makeup remover wipes, soap, and shampoo etc). The next day, when I returned to the room it was cleaned with fresh towels and linen. I ate at the restaurant for brunch on day 1 and breakfast on day 2 and the food was amazing. I posted a photo review on the breakfast and the photo does not do the food justice! The staff helped me with the room service to order the food. There was also a brand new tv that included phone casting and streaming apps for entertainment. I didn’t have any time to visit the rooftop bar, but I’m sure it is amazing. The staff were extremely kind here and helpful. I want to thank Jennifer for her assistance during check out and the entire staff for providing such an exceptional experience.
