The hotel and restaurant staff were all great. Friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel itself is meticulously clean and well-appointed. Our room was comfortable and quiet. All around, a very pleasant stay.

The food was amazing and Taylor was a great hostess. Will definitely be returning. I also enjoyed the steak and the chicken sausage.

I travel to the DMV often. Generally, when i book my stays, I try to stay at a Bon Voy property. Somehow this go around I was directed to the Thompson and what a stay it was. Nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is stellar!

Amazing

We booked a king room with balcony and were given an internal room on the 2nd floor that had a view of the roof with no natural light. Total waste. The roof was waste high, so it felt below grade, as if we were in an English basement. Service was also challenged. Simple requests for ice to be delivered to the room (it wasn’t available on the floor) were ignored by room service and we were laughed at by the women closing the bar at the Lobby bar (purveyor), as if this was an outrageous request. Also, do not waste a guest of honor cert at this location. Very few perks and zero acknowledgment beyond a typical stay. Also had to spend 20 minutes during checkout as we were charged for breakfast, parking, etc. Stay some place else, would not recommend.

The hotel staff was friendly and always helpful, and the lobby had a nice relaxed energy. Ryan at the front desk was especially welcoming and ensured my stay was exceptional.

Had a lovely stay at the Thompson Washington DC Hyatt. All the staff were friendly and attentive and always happy to help. Had breakfast here most days and bar food one evening. All delicious. This is a fabulous hotel and I would highly recommend it.

This is not a bad hotel. It’s really not. It’s just could be a little better especially considering how many choices you have in DC. For example… my room service did not replenish towels. They took the used ones, but did not leave clean ones , not even wash cloths. They took the used sheets and made the bed , but did not put any sheets on the bed! So, when you are coming back to the room late and after a long day and alls you want to do is go to bed… and no sheets, but the topper and pillows weee made. I don’t understand that. The other thing was that there is no desk in the room to work from. If you are coming strictly for pleasure then that may not be a biggie. However, if you want to do a little work in the room - no desk! I had to sit in bed to do my work and that’s just unacceptable for me. I believe they encourage you to work in the lobby in a communal space - again unacceptable for business. On the bright spot, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is upscale and modern. The rooms are small just a place to sleep. If you are okay with that - you will like this place.
