"Cute B&B with great food!"

8.0

The was a great little B&B. We were thrown off by the the fact that there were no TVs but we were not going to be doing much TV watching anyways. The staff was super friendly and professional, our room was cleaned daily, even when we slept late and the free hot breakfast was amazing! Be sure to check out the cookie jar in the second floor...the fresh cookies are yummy! The bathrooms are small and need updating but the lodge itself is over 100 yrs old and has been maintained nicely.

"Very nice stay"

10.0

We stayed a night here last weekend and loved it. It's like an upscale log cabin B&B. Tucked away from the main road but still very close to keystone village and skiing. Great service. The amenities and facilities are fairly limited given the nature of the place, but I still think it's a great value

"An old time experience "

If you like quaint then this is your place to go. Small, english style rooms with no tvs. The place is old. My girlfriend liked it, i did not.

"Exceptional"

10.0

My wife & I stayed at Ski Tip for 3 nights. It was a very nice, relaxing experience. Every member of the staff we encountered was very friendly and accommodating. As we expected, it is not a normal hotel experience, the historic building provides a unique 'cabin in the woods' feel. As other reviewers have stated, yes you can hear noise from the restaurant at night, so if you are a light sleeper and/or retire early, you might want to consider ear plugs. We didn't find it to be loud enough to be a nuisance, and were lodged in the 'Edna' room, located directly above the dining room. The main purpose of our trip was to do a bit of skiing at Keystone. While very early in the season, that did not disappoint, and the location of Ski Tip in relation to River Run and Mountain house was very convenient. Since the shuttles were not yet on a normal schedule we drove to the River Run lot (less than a mile) the first day, but ended up calling for the shuttle the second day since the lot was already full by the time we headed over. The shuttle arrived quickly and picked us up right out front. Did I mention convenient? Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, and we'll definitely consider a repeat!

"This Hotel Needs Help"

2.0

For our anniversary we booked two days at The Ski Tip Lodge located just outside of Keystone. We had several seriously flawed experiences there. Our room's shower had black mold on the walls.. Our room was not tided up the next morning. Also, no one was there the next morning to cook breakfast which is included in the rate. We were surprised to find that we spent the first night alone in the hotel especially as we found no information on emergency procedures in our room. We felt as if no one on the staff except the front desk knew we were staying there! We reserved a table for the second night as the restaurant came highly recommended. The first courses were delicious and inventive. However the New York strip was too tough to cut. As the restaurant has two seatings we were hustled out to the lounge area where we were served dessert and coffee. The second morning breakfast was served for 45 minutes as the staff was getting ready for a wedding and moving all the furniture to storage.

"UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. EXCELLED IN EVERY WAY."

10.0

Excelled in every way. Exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff: Mercedes and Stephanie I saw more often but everyone who greeted and served me during this stay. Got to experience the harvest/blood moon from my balcony in room #7. Unique hotel because it is an older classical lodge that has been added on and has interesting nooks and surprises. Full of history and lots of photos and even books about the people who built and managed this inn. Excellent location. Need a car to get around but easy drive to Keystone village and Dillon for all its great restaurants and views. Could live at this lodge, especially the large commons room, 4 star dining room (also used for plated breakfast made to order in addition to continental choices while you wait), and the patio. View of the golden aspen tree right outside the window is something I will cherish.

Autumn in the Rockies is the best kept secret - sunshine and blue skies. And the Lodge has a wonderful staff and great food. It's a very pleasant get-away.

"Overnight at the B&B"

Just a quick overnight stay, but this place was so cute and had a lot of history. The breakfast was amazing and they provided everything we needed. Definitely a place I would go back to.

"Charming European-style B&B lodge"

8.0

1-night stay to recover from long work trip to D.C. Charming & historic early 1900's ski lodge that used to be area cross-country skiing HQ. 2nd floor walkup corner room was small, but had nice bed and tiny (but adequate) bathroom. Staff were absolutely superb. We were only overnight guests, so it was extremely quiet. No staff on property from 11pm to 7am. Restaurant recently named 6th best fine dining in entire U.S.! Was very busy for dinner. Breakfast is included and was absolutely outstanding. Make sure to get some apricot preserves. Grounds are well kept, private. Outside wooden stairs are narrow with narrow steps. Inside stairs are better. Worth the cost if you want unique, charming, European-type B&B lodging and dining experience with very thoughtful and attentive staff. We will probably return some day. Make sure to get the complete history about the property and its owners.
