Avoca Hotel

The location was incredible. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you! The food was also incredible and reasonably priced. The room was clean and had an amazing view.

The WiFi wasn’t great, we couldn’t get anything to connect but we just used our own internet on our phones so it wasn’t a big deal. There were some quite loud guests on our floor which woke us up during the night but that is not at all the fault of the hotel, just a few people enjoying some drinks on a sunny day!

Thick with Dust!! No change offered when paying Accommodation!

I had an EXCEPTIONAL experience at the Avoca Hotel! I had originally scheduled 4 nights at a local B and B. When I arrived at the B and B, I was informed that it was no longer in business. Within a half hour, my tour guide located the Avoca and they had offered me a room for the four nights, plus breakfasts and 2 additional meals. I went from a really scary experience (in a different country with no housing) to feeling like family! My room was gorgeous - all stone and brick - and cozy and clean. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The private bathroom was modern and efficient. The staff of the Avoca went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Alycia, Clare, and Sarah on reception, Francis and Ihjaz in the bar and restaurant, and servers Sinead and Shawneen were outstanding in every way. My room was clean and made up every day by housekeeping, including Julie. I will definitely be back to Newcastle, and when I do return, I will be visiting the Avoca Hotel. I offer my highest recommendation!

Location is great, room was very cosy smaller than the pics. The staff were fantastic and the room Especially the bathroom was gleaming

The room was boiling we tried to turn the temp down but it kept going up and up and was 25 overnight The pillows were so so thin

The hotel and staff were great. Great food and drinks area.
