AUThe lady running reception at this place was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our guests enjoyed their time here and the rooms were better than expected. If you have a big family and are used to this level of accommodation you'll being able to cook, live and stay close together 'filipino' style.
The roads are a bit rubbish and beach access a bit tricky (but doable), the price is unbeatable.
IEGreat location, walking distance from beach and lots of bars and restaurants. You can rent snorkels and they will organize transport for you and let you store luggage. Provided a towel and small amenity kit with toothbrush, toothpaste and bar soap and sachet of shampoo/conditioner. Small balcony area with line to hang clothes.
There were some ants/spiders in the room, think that’s standard for the island though. On a dirt road which gets messy if it rains.
Simple but charming stay in cottages. You feel that you are close to nature, and it’s pretty quiet. You can walk to the beach or to the main road, the only thing I didn’t like was that it was a dirt road with stones and small potholes and it could get wet and muddy during rainfall. Also the road was pretto dark at night but luckily there were no street dogs at this road.

Wifi didnt really work properly, no hot water and bathroom was lil bit dirty.
NLGood location (10 min walk to Alona beach), AC in room, comfortable bed and hot shower.
Wifi/4G wasn’t working in rooms and the hostel is laid in a pretty remote dark street.
PHWe upgraded our room for an additional 1000 and we got a bigger clean spacious room with ref and table inside. We can cook with no charge. Beds were comfy and aircon was all cold. We can walk to the main road where public transportation, groceries and restos are. Few minutes walk to the beach. Wifi is accessible outside. They have mini store in the reception.
Not beach front. Walk to the beach is 5-8mins. Beware of angry dogs along the pathways. Very dark pathways too. Wifi doesnt reach the inside rooms you have to go outside to get a good signal.
