The Classic Desert Aire Hotel

The property is a very attractive motel. It’s got artwork in the rooms and on the outside, a consistent Southwest theme. The room was very large and very comfortable. Jesse was very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. Everybody at the hotel seems very nice. Also, breakfast the next morning was pretty good. I had the best sausage gravy and biscuit plate that I have had in New Mexico. The pool was very clean and comfortable. And with the heat here, a pool is a nice thing. They also had a barbecue chef there, who served outside the office and store. his food was really great. Very highly recommended.

Staff were all very kind and friendly. Breakfast in adjacent cafe was okay; wait staff was pleasant and courteous. Motel set way back from main highway so it was very quiet and we slept well.

Room quite dated. Internet did not work in original room in back corner of property but clerk moved us a few rooms down where it worked much better.

It was clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower was clean and warm.

The hotel was rated a 5-star hotel. It was not. It's more a 3 to 3.5 star hotel- equivalent to a La Quinta Inn or Courtyard. When arriving, the name on the hotel did not match the name on the listing, so we passed it. The smell indicated that it was recently renovated. The room was freezing, but the AC was locked so we couldn't change it. The cable was not set up yet. The pet fee was $40 and there was an extra $10 for something. No breakfast and the coffee was only a station downstairs, no coffee machine in the room.
