"Extremely unfriendly staff - Worst hotel experience in 8 trips to Italy…"

This is one of the worst hotel experiences i have ever had. The aircon in the room didn’t work and the staff were incredibly unfriendly to the point of almost hostile. We asked several times to be moved to another room and after two people tried to “fix” the aircon they eventually moved us to another room at 11:45pm. Facilities and rooms are old, breakfast was below par for Italy. Place was clean though. I would not recommend that anyone stay at this hotel.

"VERY NICE HOTEL"

Unfortunately, we were only at this hotel for a couple of nights on this group tour, which was a shame as it was the best hotel in which we stayed. The room and bathroom were large, nicely decorated and clean. The manager/owner? was extremely helpful and the staff were accommodating. The food was good even though they were catering for 2 or 3 tour groups.

"Great port in what was quite a storm!"

I was stranded in a very busy Venice area after a cruise line error caused me to miss my flight. The Hotel Bolognese fit me into their last available room. I arrived very tired, disheveled, and hungry. The staff went above and beyond to welcome me and make my one night stay comfortable. They assisted with ordering a pizza upon my arrival and also a cab back to the airport for the next morning. I was very impressed.

Comfortable bedrooms.

The pool was shown on the photos of the property (part of the reason to book the hotel), but on arrival was informed it was closed as out of season. Disappointed. Rooms were warm but no aircon to cool down.
