Giotto Park Hotel

wir waren nur auf Durchreise, von Neapel in die Dolomiten. Als Ausgangspunkt für Besuche in Florenz ist das Hotel geeignet. Die Lage auf einem Hügel ist sehr schön.

LOvely old villa situated about nine miles(25mins by car) into Firenze.Situated in a small village up in the hills outside Florence with lovely views. Very Tranquil after the hustle and bustle of Firenze. Loved this place but was so quiet whilst we were there. The owners were most helpful what with our limited Italian and their limited English but nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was adequate in the huge restaurant and also ample parking, I believe it is possible to book an evening meal but we chose to use the small restaurant at the other end of the village. Would like to stay again when the hotel was busier.

We found this lovely spot while knocking back coffee in a small shop after we fled the "Great Hotel Fire of 2015" hours earlier. With soot and blackened clothes, my sister booked this gem and off we went on another hotel venture. And with the old man, you never quite know what you are getting, but thankfully, he must have been in a smoke filled haze when he gave the OK to book because it was a bit out of his normal range. It's about 20 minutes or so outside of Firenze, a lovely drive up into the hills-into Bivigliano, a cute little town nestled in the folds of the 'mountains.' She's an older gem, but a graceful beauty and our party of 7 were delighted to be checking into a place that had working sprinklers and fire extinguishers. The staff were so accommodating sensing our exhaustion from the previous night's fire, and got three rooms ready before we fell asleep in the lobby. We girls had a triple room-high ceilings, comfy beds, a power shower that blasted away the soot and nice toiletries. The large windows opened up to a courtyard. Breakfast was good-the servers excellent, and we only wished we had booked more than one night. We did have a great dinner down the road-a few hundred yards from the hotel.

Gioto's WiFi is limited to 1 building. If you want WiFi need to do an upgrade room that cost €80. Every time you want to go to the city must pay €50 for a 1-way Taxi. If no, you have a nightmare taking multiple auto-buses wasting your vacation time on this UGLY experience. I choose this hotel because they offered a €33/night rate and they took advantage of me. Once you get there you can not cancel. If so, they charge a penalty. No effective customer service! Never come back. Also they say they have food and it is not true. There is only 1 restaurant and you have to WALK 6-10 minutes to get there.

Histroric hotel located in a small village 15km away from Florence. Excellent value for money, good breakfast. Facilities a little tired but not bad considering that in was built in 1905. No internet in room but available in the foyer.

Very accommodating staff, made an early breakfast for us when we had a morning tour in Florence.

How lovely to spend a short break in this traditional italian hotel with camilio and his lovely family. we were made very welcome.Having just got back from Dubai with all its modern glitz the Giotto.park was a relaxing peaceful tranquil escape .also recommended was the Chalet number 5 restaurant which served delicious traditional italian fayre again we were made very welcome we look forward to our return . Old hotel was never renewed in last 50 years. Bed is terrible!!! Breakfast was so bad!! You could choose only between to diferent typ of chees - no eggs, no salami, nothing you could choose!!! Terrible. Only good thing is that you are 20 kg out of city and it is quiet surrounding. Without car you are lost and helpless.

Das Hotel ist eine einsam gelegene Villa, die vermutlich selten mehr als eine Handvoll Gäste hat. Das Personal war das freundlichste das ich seit Jahren getroffen hatte. Die Empfehlungen bezüglich Restaurants waren gut und ehrlich. Man fühlt sich ein wenig in eine andere Zeit versetzt und auch wenn das Frühstück klein ausfiel (was bei der Anzahl der Gäste zu verstehen ist), so entschuldigen dies die Größe und Ausstattung der Zimmer. Hier hätte auch ein Napoleon oder Sissi Urlaub machen können. Man entkommt dem Trubel Florenz, hat eine wunderschöne Landschaft um sich herum und ist in 30min auch in der Stadtmitte von Florenz (wenn man die Zimmerpreise den Parkkosten in der Florenzer Innenstadt gegenüberstellt, lohnt es sich übrigens auch außerhalb zu wohnen). Für Pärchen zu empfehlen!
