Northwoods Best Inn - Chetek

Great location for us as we had friends close by. Nice pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and pillows.

Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Requested an early check in and was denied. I have requested at other places and have always been granted when asked. It looked to me that there were plenty rooms available. I had to leave my travel companion and he had to walk around town to kill time. Fortunately , he was able to access the room a little early.

We had a room with a door for an adjoining room, the door had a deadbolt lock on it that would not lock. Although the other door seemed to be secured, our side of the door was not. We informed the front desk of this and their solution was to tell us that they would make sure that no one stayed in the room next door.......we were not assured in any way. We used the dresser and night stand to blockade the adjoining door. Still not the most proficient answer to the problem, but we were able to sleep knowing that if someone did try to come in, we would be able to hear them.
