Primarily the location. The breakfast was good, but not great compared to other similarly priced hotels we stayed at on our trip.

Didn’t like the sterility/greyness of the interior, corridors and rooms. There also isn’t any social space outside of the rooftop bar, and very little near the entrance.

Hotel do Chiado is well situated in Lisbon for walking access to many of the local sites. This site was chosen for us as it presented the best option for most level walking as my wife has some mobility issues. It still isn’t flat flat but more flat than most of Lisbon hotels. The hotel is nicely appointed with a fabulous breakfast buffet that will set you up for a long day of sightseeing. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. My wife got sick and the entire stafff was checking in on her when I went out for supplies or even when she felt well enough to leave. I would definitely book a room with the patio as it provides a private patio to enjoy the open air with a view of the castle. A prefect respite to enjoy your money espresso (machine in room) or an evening glass of wine. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel do Chiado. We had a great room with a patio and beautiful view of the St George Castle. Our room was made up everyday and there were plenty of drinks to choose from in the room fridge. We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine and port. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of selections of pastries, meats, cheese, eggs, fruit and beverages. The staff was wonderful, especially Solange who was always cheerful and helpful with tips for our day. It was great being close to so many sights and shops.

All staff were kind,helpful, professional and had great suggestions when I asked. My room was clean, comfortable, cozy and accommodating. The location was perfect for my city walks. I loved the buffet breakfast and the ambiance of the penthouse experience. Evenings at the outdoor rooftop bar provided grand hospitality and a delightful city view!
