"Nice staff but expensive water at dinner."

Staff friendly and park like location

Very noisy cleaner at 7.30 clattering in their store room next to our room - woke us up prematurely. Cost of still and sparkling water at dinner: £9.00 each seems excessive!

"Lovely surroundings, nice room if a little dated. Very comfortable and an excellent breakfast."

Beautiful surroundings and very easy to find. The full English breakfast was excellent.

Poorly sign posted reception. I walked past the front door as there was very little signage. Decor a little dated.

"Beautiful place and grounds with exceptional staff"

The staff were all exceptional. Particularly Ben, who served us in the bar when we got back on Saturday night. What a lovely, friendly gentleman. Exceptional service. All breakfast staff and reception staff were also really friendly and helpful.

We didn't have a proper shower. If we had been given an option I would have booked a room with an actual shower. But we didn't know until we turned up. It was a shower over the bath and it wasn't fully tiled so not really very usable.

Like many old properties in need of some TLC. Full of character however could do with some areas of hotel such as outdoor furniture updating
