The Cypress Mercure Hotel Nagoya

The beds were comfortable and large. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The bathroom was lovely, and the full sized bath was appreciated. The room was well stocked with amenities and had a massage and laundry facility that we used.

It was the nicest place we stayed while in Japan for 2 weeks. Rooms were spacious, and the staff was wonderful!

The location was great. The hotel was a short walk away from the main train station and there were several restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We booked 2 Privilege Queen Rooms but got 2 Superior Rooms upon check in (the reception said they were the same). The rooms were clean and big for Japanese standards (25 sqm big), but looked dated. The queen beds were also small and low in height. The staff were friendly. But the hotel lobby was simple. And the bar was closed

I paid for the most expensive Mercure hotel in the world but got very bad service. I paid 85920 yen for 2 nights, this is comparable to the price of a 5 star hotel. I didn't expect to get such bad service. In general, Mercure hotels are very good. I am a platinum member, I was thrown into a very small room with no view, I told a young receptionist, he said that was the price of my room. This is truly a Japanese scam. words spoken coldly without feeling guilty.

Location.

I book a room enable for smoking and they only used air purifier to reduce the smoke. Using air purifier isn’t good enough. The whole room like no air even we on the air con. The breakfast too decent.
