Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

We have been coming here for 4 years now. It feels like home. The renovations were so nice, what a difference. The staff is so accommodating. We have our favorites. Ludwig is such a nice person, who is also so very pleasant and helpful. Jadon was beyond helpful. Glen is an asset to the company. Nick was also very helpful. Xavier, Oscar, Benny and Henel are the best. R We always love our stay, its home for us!!

We are Marriott loyalist who always stay at Marriott so we know the brand standard. We chose stay at this hotel because they recently renovated the hotel. The renovations are almost complete and we didn’t hear any construction during our time there. They had better food options at the ocean club and the surf club next-door so it’s worth checking out because you can charge your room at these resorts. Pro: newly renovated, comfortable bed, premium linens, large bathroom and shower, gave nice upgrade to platinum Bonvoy members (booked a garden view and got an ocean view) Cons: shower pressure is weak on main shower head but sprayer is strong and the shower door is too short and not long enough to capture all the water, the service is inconsistent earlier during the week. They didn’t do an automatic turn down service but later in the week they did. You only get free continental breakfast or pay $15 surcharge for full buffet with the Platinum membership. Staff: special thanks to Glenn at check-in. He was able to reserve a palapa for the next day, which usually requires reservations the day before. During check-in, he was friendly and knowledgeable about the resort. He truly wanted to make our stay special while we were there. Other than Glenn, everyone else at the property gave lack luster service. They are better off just having tablets to order food and drinks at the pool/beach. Food: The buffet has shrunk over the years. The taste was not exceptional just status quo. The menus at the pool/beach have changed for the worse, everything seems basic and over priced. You are better off eating diner offsite. Overall, the service at the hotel has dropped drastically post pandemic. We used to visit the hotel every year since 2012. The renovation is beautiful but the lack of platinum benefits and bad service not sure if we will return.

This is our second year staying at this property and it was just as good as last year. We stayed again on The Tradewinds floor and used the facilities of the Tradewinds Lounge which was excellent. What really blew us away this trip were the number of staff who remembered us from last year especially at the Tradewinds beach towel hut. We had no problem booking palappas each day. We ate at Atardi one night for dinner which was very good. Another night we ate at Mercat which wasn’t the best food compared to the excellent food in the Tradewinds lounge. Rooms have been recently remodeled and were nicely done. The only negative would be on some days the loudness of the music by main pool. I think it’s nice to have music at the pool, and there is always the quieter adult pool available. However, the volume really does not need to be that high for people to enjoy themselves. When you can clearly hear it loud inside rooms it’s time to take it down a few notches and management do need to do something about that. Regardless of the pool noise we would most definitely come back here again and recommend. The property is lovely and has the added advantage of a busy onsite casino which we tried our luck at most nights. The location is also good.

This was probably our 10th trip to Aruba over the New Year holiday. The vibe at the Aruba Marriott Stellaris is second to none! Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is great - especially the beach attendants. Our absolute favorite person at the resort is Vangie! She is super kind, takes good care of us and ensures things are running smoothly! It’s the perfect balance of fun, sun and relaxation!

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. The resort is beautiful and well kept. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Fantastic ocean, beach and pool views. The staff everywhere was so helpful and accommodating. The location is great, as you can walk up and down the beach and get good steps in but also get to other restaurants. The food at the lounge bar and the restaurants (Atardi and Mercat) were excellent. There is something for everyone: children’s activities table, swimming pool which was a big draw for the teenagers and kids, the quieter adult-only pool area, the palapas to sit beachside. Lots of great music outside and inside. The two downsides: 1) pay attention to what room you get, as we got ours along the mezzanine that overlooks the lobby atrium which means we could hear EVERYTHING from the lobby area particularly the loud music that until late at night. If this is potentially an issue for you, you need to get a room that is away from this. 2) Marriott aggressively tries to sell timeshares. Again if you don’t bother talking to the sales desk about their “vacation plans”, you will be fine. Ultimately this is great for many. It could also be a good option if you tend to prefer more quiet. But if you want a super quiet and low key vacation, you may want to consider other options.
