The Ashley Hotel

Basic but good location and good price.

Clean but a bit run down and in need of some tlc. Staff friendly and efficient. Noisy in early morning to rear of hotel which overlooks M & S delivery area.

The room was clean. It was in poor condition though, the window didn’t close and leaked. There was a huge rip in the chair, the light didn’t work, the plug socket sparked when a plug was put in it, 2 of the drawer fronts came off when I opened a drawer. It was pretty grim.

Filthy, like something out of a horror movie.

Breakfast was nice but not very hot. Bedding and towels exceptionally clean and white. Overall, hotel, tired, dirty corridors and lift. Seedy.

Old Hotel. Needs Refurbishment. No parking at thr hote,unless you arrive after 6pm there is a publec pay and display ar park just few seconds of walk at the back of the hotel where parking is free from 6pm till 8am.

Disgusting place

No internet in room, TV not accessing BBC, dirty room, fire extinguishers missing, dirty lift,graffiti in lift and gruesome view of rubbish strewn roof from bedroom window plus not sufficient staff one bar maid, one member of staff.....safeguarding of staff and guests not in place

I told the man at reception I was going to complain.Firstly the stair carpet is filthy,what a first impression.. The room smelled of cannabis smoke. There was not an inside catch on the door, no shower gel, shampoo, the phone didn't work. If you looked out of the window there was alovely view of rubbish on the roof below.. Wifi only in the downstairs area so no good for business use. I had a lot of work to do on the Saturday. There was a bag of take away cartoons and food(a full carrier bag0 which was there for a day and was smelling.I have stayed in Britannia Hotels before but this was the dirtiest and worst hotel I have ever been in- really shocking. You get what you pay for and this is a very cheap hotel right in the centre of Hale within walking distance of the station to Manchester for very little money. The building is tired, the décor is poor and there were a number of things that I might have complained about if it wasn't so cheap. For the price though, the hotel represents reasonable value - particularly if you literally just need a bed to sleep in.
