Super 8 by Wyndham Poplar Bluff Missouri

My account was incorrectly charged the first night, but it was quickly corrected the next day. And we found that any time our reservation is covered with Wyndham points we are put into room 105 which has a serious gnat problem and the ac unit doesn't work properly and leaks. This last stay the unit leaked into the floor and my son's gaming unit were in that area. The only thing that saved them were the housing units they have. And when I requested to be moved due to the ac not working and was denied. This was the first weekend after getting officially married on july 4th and it sucked!

I have stayed in places in small town and big cities all over America and Europe but never experienced a worse hotel. It was disgusting and Wyndham should be ashamed to be associated with this Super 8 hotel. With the exception of a few updated Wyndham towels mixed in with old ones, I wouldn't let my dog stay there.

This place sold and confirmed the availability of a suite with two beds and a spa tub on Friday 7/4/25. The reservation was for arrival on 7/5/25 and departing 7/6/25. Upon arrival 7/5 I was given keys to room 108 which was a room with one queen bed. I returned to the front desk and showed the confirmation of the room I had paid for. I was told that the room was not available. I was offered another room or a refund. I choosed the refund. From their parking lot I contacted Hotels.com to start the refund process. The hotel will not answer their phone for me or the Rep from Hotels. The one time they did answer the phone they hung up on the Hotels Rep. Later in the day the Hotel fraudulenty claimed that I changed my reservation to a Single Queen Bed. I have contacted Wyndham customer service and was sent an email that they would get back to me within a week! This hotel is a disgrace. The lobby smells like Bad Marijuana, their vending and ice machine don't work. The lady at the front desk was a little bit understanding but whoever she kept calling couldn't care Less.

Overall the property was not clean. There were flies in the bathroom and the overall ambience was not something that we would return for. The staff was very nice and welcoming though.

Absolutely nothing! Will not stay there again, dirty rooms and staff was rude! Suffered trew the stay but will not go back there@

It was a great stay

This is the dirtiest room I have ever seen. Mold on the shower ceiling, nasal discharge on shower walls, TV did not work, lights did not work, phone did not work

Even the parking lot smelled before I went in. I went into the assigned room, the sheets were thread bare and didn’t look clean, the room smelled, the big dog next door barked, the curtain over the window was torn off the rod, there was a homeless man roaming the parking lot. All in all, the worst place I’ve ever been in. I did not stay. I felt very unsafe.

Bed is old and not good. Sheets were not fresh and clean. Bathroom door had bottom hinge broken. The office chair was also about to fall apart. The breakfast coffee was very weak. Not much offered for the breakfast. Overall the place should have an inspection done by Corporate and get the local management to correct everything.

I was willing to tolerate the no elevator and dirty carpets in hallway, dirty floors in my room, broken toilet seat, , trashy chair which I could not sit in, growth on the ceiling, fake fingernail left on the night stand....I was willing to tolerate all that crap....but hair in the bed I do not.
