The proximity to highway and places to eat

Shower drainage was not sufficient. During shower, the water did not drain as quickly as necessary.

Great property, location and staff. Stayed here several times.

It was unusual

We arrived and had to wait 10 minutes for the front desk person to come back from checking rooms, we got our room and it was the room right off the lobby, this should not be a room. We could hear everything happening in the lobby. We went back to the desk and thankfully said they had another available, great! We got our new room key and when we opened the door, it was clear there was someone staying in that room, not great. Went back to the desk, repeated the process. One of the workers went to go check rooms. When he came back he gave me a new room. That he just checked. (????) There were people in that room as well. Go back to the desk, the worker went to check another room, that one was empty. Finally in our room, we go to turn down the temperature and the thermostat dies. We watch a little TV, the signal cuts out every few minutes and then the channel is lost. We turn the lights off and notice that the room darkening curtains let in huge gaps of light on either side. I slept with a T-shirt covering my eyes so it would be dark. The bed is ok, but there is a huge sag in the middle. The sheets are soft.

We were surprised to find the entire room lighting was about a bright as a cave. In addition to one dim light in the bathroom the sink was so far away from the mirror that it was impossible to get close enought to shave. The soap tray on the front shower wall had been ripped off. There was another soap tray low on the side wall (to hold what is a mystery - perhaps a foot rest?) but the front of it was torn away from the side wall so you couldn't put the shampoo and conditoner on it as they would slide off. There was no bath jell and no usualable soap tray for the bar soap. While the breakfast was decent and the coffee good the condition of our room was a poor excuse for a Hampton hotel.

There are not many choices in this area. Pros- room was clean, Conveniently located within easy walking distance to Crocker park shops & restaurants, free breakfast, easily accessible from Hwy 90, Diamond parking. Cons- property looks tired, deferred maintenance.
