Villa Semana Resort Ubud

Everything! It was a great surprise to come off the busy street and travel down a 100m path and be in the middle of a relative jungle with rice fields being the view off your very spacious,quiet accommodation and private pool. The grounds are open and landscaped in a typical balinese style. The infinity pool is a gem to sit around to watch the sunset and count the kites the locals are flying. The Bistro with its balcony setting overlooking the river is magical. The staff were outstanding and the ample fresh breakfast was a treat. It’s such a surprise considering the hassle of the street traffic to get to this very reasonably priced gem. This a great base to explore the region without staying in the traffic chaos of centrally Ubud.Thank you to all the staff that made our stay memorable.

Πολύ όμορφο και ήρεμο μέρος για διαμονή. Τα πάντα ήταν καθαρά και το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό σε όλα. Πανέμορφη η κοινόχρηστη πισίνα και η διαδρομή από την βίλα έως εκεί. Το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!

Rooms would need an upgrade as they are now dated. We had a villa with private pool and the Frogs were a headache at night.

Located near a beautiful river with rapids! Backing onto a rainforest - very beautiful.

Lots of steps- especially to get down to the restaurant area.

Great location with spacious villas that come with private pools. The main pool and bistro overlook the river and jungle, which makes for some impressive views. Staff were friendly and polite, and the overall vibe was relaxed. Breakfast was included, and since it was off‑season, the value for money was solid.

The bistro prices felt steep compared to local shops — a small water bottle was $4 AUD versus 35 cents at nearby shops. The shower head didn’t work properly, with several holes blocked, and the bath tap released dirty water. The toilet and plumbing weren’t great, often needing multiple flushes. Flying insects could get inside, though that’s to be expected given the setting.

A beautiful property just a short distance away from the bustle of Ubud town center. Situated perfectly on the bank of the Ayung river and next to a locally owned rice field. All of the employees are so kind, detail oriented, and helpful. The villas were stunning. Having only 10 villas made our stay very personal and special.
