Baymont by Wyndham Waterford/Burlington WI

This hotel was very convenient for me. Everyone was pleasant and the room was clean. The hotel could use some maintenance and refreshing. My shower head didn't work properly.

Nice, clean hotel. Nothing fancy but clean, has a pool and good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly receptionist.

Very large group of people so loud could barely hear at the front desk. Person literally looked like he was getting massive headache but didn't try to control noise. Probably affected his concentration and charge me for my room again instead of just incidentals.

The vibe in this place is just weird. Rates were completely overpriced for the night we were there. If we hadn't traveled as a group and been told by one of the members this is where everyone was planning to stay, I would have tried to find something else immediately. To start, the person at the front desk was oddly suspicious of anyone whose name was even slightly different on the reservation. My spouse booked the room but then couldn't join, so her name showed up on the booking instead of mine. Even though we share a last name and I presented my ID as such, I received a totally inappropriate amount of attitude from the person checking me in - "this is not your name on the reservation", as if I was trying to do something deceptive. Have they not had situations like this before? I nearly told the front desk person to call my wife directly if she didn't believe me. Just a very strange interaction that I've never experienced at any other hotel chain. I also overheard another guest being questioned about the same thing. I haven't even gotten to the quality of the rooms yet. Hope you brought your own devices to entertain yourself with, because your TV viewing options are seriously limited and the remote only works half the time you press it. Oh, and functional USB ports to charge devices such as smart watches? Who do you think you are, Fancy Pants? The toilet handle was almost entirely detached, the swing bar lock on the door was hanging on by one of it's four screws (that feels totally safe), and if you were expecting a thermostat to control room temp, you're outta luck. The one upside is you could slide the window open to let in some fresh air. Downstairs, the "breakfast corner" is a lazy collection of items they probably stocked from the BP across the street. If you have other options, I strongly recommend pursuing those.

I had booked 2 rooms for 3 adults. When I arrived they insisted I booked 1 room thru Expedia. My sister had the original confirmation showing 2 rooms for a total of 338. They gave us the 2nd room but charged us 180 for it. The girl at the desk was very rude and said it was our fault for using a third party to book.

The room itself was nice. However there were people arguing in the next room over. It was really bad to the point that I reported it to the front desk. They later called me to tell me that they took care of it. I appreciated the phone call. If your room is on the side of Loomis Road, you will hear noisy vehicles passing by.
