Farol Hotel

Lovely views but no comfy chairs under a shade. Good cocktails, wine and snacks on terrace. Reccomend meaty croquettes and yummy octopus crisps. Staff slow, had to chase every order. Seats hard under cover. Worth a quick drink looking at sea. Wonderful art, like a gallery, worth a visit for that alone.

The hotel is beautifully located with stunning views. The room was space and nicely decorated. The city Cascais was within walking distance and is beautiful with many attractions.

The carpet flooring is out dated, stained and not hygienic. It has stains all over from room down the stairs.The sun umbrellas were dirty stained and so was the wall at pool. The breakfast was $ 30/ person a day-over priced. The place needs some up keep.

The staff at the Farol Hotel was excellent, specifically Sophia in dining and Artur at the bar & dining. Both provided excellent service, but with THE nicest friendliest touch. Loved them both and spending the time we did with them as we ate. They were both such highlights. Thank you very much. John & Hasna Carroll

Our favorite hotel of the trip so far! The location couldn’t be better! On the sea! Get the balcony room!!! so beautiful lovely stuff, favorite town on this trip so far!!!

We stayed in The Farol Hotel for 1 night, as our daughter was getting married there. The facilities for the wedding were absolutely stunning, the cliff location, the views, everything was magical .The restaurant is lovely, great views over the sea. It is a real boutique hotel with a very 'arty' vibe. lots of paintings, sculptures and other pieces of art. Definitely for the more luxury discerning traveller. We had a beautiful superior de luxe sea view room ( 114) , but this room did not have a balcony. When you pay extra to upgrade to this room type, I had expected a balcony. Apparently one can request, but it will not be guaranteed. If I were to stay for more than the 1 night, that would be a deal breaker for me. To be in such a beautiful spot, pay the extra for the room, and then have no balcony to sit out on. For the rest it was a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The room was comfortable and the hotel has a lovely ambiance.
