I thought the breakfast was not good

The grounds of the resort is beautiful. I loved going to the stable and getting to see the horses. The staff gave me peppermints to feed the horses and that was fun.

The wrap around porch area, rocking chairs and tables surrounding the four cottages was covered in pollen. The ice machine didn't work. The phone in the room and kuerig didn't work. It took 40 minutes to fill the bathtub due to low water pressure and then the water was lukewarm. The cottages next door were being renovated. When I returned in my car after going to the stables the small parking area was blocked due to trucks. One of them had a trailer and they were bringing furniture into the cottages that were being renovated. I wanted to get my belongings and check out and wasn't able to do so because of not having access to my room. I didn't want to park out by the road. I called and left messages on the manager's voice mail several times. She called back once and I missed her call. She made no attempt to reach me again. I spoke numerous times to the ladies at the front desk. They were great and one of the ladies told me she'd given the manger the info I'd reported and also emailed her. My account was left open when I checked out because the lady at the front desk felt sure the manager would compensate me. A compensation did not happen. My credit card was charged $200.50 several days after the one night stay. I am disputing the charge.

The rooms were clean and the majority of the resort was nice.

The pool area was a big let down. The inside hot tub bubbles didn’t work and the outside hot tub was out of order. Also the landscaping looked like it was being worked on but the waterfall pond is in very poor condition and needs work.

Beautiful lobby. Beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff. Balcony with rocking chairs.

For all the visually serene surroundings, I could not find an actual quiet space. Lobby has music all the time and because of the acoustics one could hear every conversation even if speakers were across the room. Outside is a continual din of air conditioner motors on every porch and balcony, plus leaf blowers and chain saws. Housekeepers noisy in the hallway. Looks quiet but actually is not. Also was unaware that while Brassies is open until 10 , the kitchen closes at 9. Shucks.
