Kimpton Marlowe by IHG

The breakfast brunch served by Bambara was excellent. The staff were lovely, attentive, kind and smiling, and the coffee was perfect.

We just returned from our first visit to the Kimpton Marlowe and it won't be our last! We had such a great time - super pet friendly (we brought our cat!) the room was extremely clean and really beautiful, and it was in walking distance (or a short drive) to a bunch of great Cambridge and Boston spots. This was our first time ever traveling and staying at a hotel with our cat, and we were really nervous about how it was going to go. This stay solidified that we will be seeking out Kimpton locations for any future cat vacations! The staff was so nice, we signed a cute "pet contract" in which our pet promised to pay for any extreme damage to the room, and otherwise she was just welcome to enjoy her stay! They have "pet in room" signs to put on the door to warn housekeeping, and on checkout they gave us some cat treats made by a local pet bakery!! So cute and sweet. The room was so nice - really clean for a pet-friendly hotel and so beautiful! We were in an exterior king and I highly recommend - the view of the canal and park was stunning, the windows were huge and clean, and the bed was SO comfy. Location was great - we walked from the hotel into Boston (Quincy Market area) which was a kind of long but nice and definitely doable walk, and we also went to some great spots closer to the hotel (HIGHLY recommend Bom Dough for incredible breakfast and coffee, as well as Cafe Beatrice which had great salads and pastries). Behind the hotel is a lovely park and canal, and we couldn't get over how quiet and relaxing the whole area was. We loved being near enough to the Boston area for when we wanted that vibe BUT staying in such a calm quiet escape was definitely the move so you can pick what kind of energy you want...for fun nights out we took quick rides to Fenway and the Seaport area, and then for chill nights we took walks along the canal near the hotel and got takeout from nearby dinner spots so we could enjoy quiet, relaxing nights in with our kitty :) Perfect balance. We loved our stay and can't wait to return!

We had a pleasant stay at the Kimpton Marlowe. Everybody on staff was super friendly and helpful, even to the kids! (Thanks for the bubbles!) Nice activities offered to guests like kayaking, bikes, wine tasting. Great parking shared with the mall next door, which had dining options if you didn't feel like walking too far. Not that far of a walk to Boston. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful suite and view of the city and river. It was great to be by the river walk and nice neighborhood. Lovely Boutique style hotel.
