The Inn at Saratoga

Quiet. Historically oriented. Good location.

Carpets in corridors were somewhat of a tripping hazard.

The hotel is an old Inn with classic features. Great staff and within walking distance of town.

The check in and check out staff were very efficient and friendly. The hotel itself is very walkable from Broadway which is the main shopping street. It's an older building but it didn't feel old

Breakfast was good; no gluten free options though. Coffee was excellent. The general atmosphere is very comfortable, like the decor. Bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom good.

Bathroom was a little dated, furnishings a little worn. Hallway rug worn, tripping hazard.

Location was good

Although limited in choices the breakfast was fresh and great value all in very comfortable surroundings.

I get that the prices are driven by supply and demand during track season, I still can't get over how much rooms cost!

We liked the history of the inn, going back some 180-plus years. The furniture was classic and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the $10/pp breakfast was a good deal with fresh buffet items a step or two above above general chain hotel breakfasts.

That kind of history comes with signs of aging: slightly misty smells, creaks and some wear and tear. We would stay there again because it’s a good value and the staff was terrific, but we would also check other places.

Good location, nice and monumental house with many original elements. Spacious room. Huge bed.

Noisy old fashioned airconditioning. Welcome at reception was nice but the bartender had a bad day I guess and essentially had us get our dinner elsewhere, probably best anyway.
