The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail

Loved our stay at the Hythe! Granted, we went when there was a conference, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. We stayed in the two queen bed sized room and it had plenty of space for all your belongings. The bathrooms are the great, it was very comfortable and the water gets hot FAST! I do agree with one customer, the toilet paper could use some work. The restaurant within the hotel is good, but it could use some additional options instead of burgers. The cleaning staff are absolutely perfect, they are friendly and will assist you with just about anything. If you visit during the winter, the lift is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The one thing that was a nuisance was True North, I am not sure who they are hiring to work there but they do not have much customer service experience. We would wait about 10 minutes before someone from True North to help us get fitted. They are either high or just in a daze and not very accommodating. Overall, we will come back to the Hythe because of the friendly staff, the car valet service and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. It is a lot of fun and relative close to everything.

My significant other and I celebrated our two year anniversary at the Hythe in January and had the most wonderful experience! Shout outs to Rowan and Leslie at check-in and to Chris and Charlie at the concierge …. You made our stay magical! From the moment we arrived at ballet through to check in, the amazing suite, and the whole hotel experience we were in awe. Being in the Jacuzzi outdoors in the freezing cold weather was the cherry on top of an already amazing stay. Retiring to our room and sitting in front of the fireplace was even better! Thank you so much for being such a special part of our anniversary trip!

Service was fantastic. Transportation service provided was incredibly helpful and efficient. Hotel was well kept and all staff was friendly. Location was fantastic. 5 minute walk to Gondola. Stores and some restaurants at walking distance. Ski rental in hotel.

Good ski location

Staying at this hotel was amazing - the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are great and the location is ideal, especially if you are planning to ski! The thing though that sets it apart is their staff - they were all gracious, helpful and did everything they could to make our stay outstanding! We look forward to returning again soon!!

The location was great, the free bus station right in front of the hotel, the bus that runs every 15 minutes, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, nice place in the room, beautiful Mountain View, lovely lobby.

Upon checking in, I was asked to pay 100 dollars as a deposit for incidental expenses, once the transaction was done I have received a notification from my bank informing me that the amount of 215 dollars was deducted from my account, firstly the misleading information and the front desk being not transparent, secondly, I requested not to make another transaction for the second room as deposit, since the first one covers the amount, the front desk guy consulted his colleague who was next to him sitting on his desk,who turns out that his name was Dustin, Dustin approached me and said to me:(you have to pay end story) I was really shocked how could he speak to a guest with all that rudeness! I was so calm in my discussion with the other guy so what made who so called (Justin) to treat me like that! A guest having two rooms for three nights and being treated in a ridiculous and harsh manner! then I said to Dustin I need to see the manager,it was an attempt from me to control the situation and to be treated as a guest, then he said: (I am the manager) pointing to a badge on his jacket, immediately I knew this guy could ruin our vacation, I provided my credit card to his colleague who was assisting me and asked him to take deposit for the second room, and that was under the sight of Dustin, his colleague handed me the keys, while I was leaving and heading to the elevator to our rooms the security guy followed me and stopped me and asked me why I do not want to pay deposit for the second room!!! I swear this was crazy!! What kind of guests being treated like that?! As a matter of fact what kind of staff treat their guests like that?! A simple answer to the security guy from me: I paid for everything, later on Dustin tried to rectify the situation by helping us to change one of our rooms, the same category of course, but sorry Dustin, your rudeness to me and to my family, and the trouble that you intended to cause to us by calling the security unjustly cannot be tolerated.

My husband and I decided to stay at the Hythe Luxury Collection during the holiday season. The location of this hotel is fantastic, and the staff provide exceptionally friendly service. What makes our stays even more delightful is seeing our old friends working at the bar, Nick from Illinois and Alex from Macedonia. Over the years, we have come to know these staff members well, and it is an extra treat to be recognized and engage in pleasant conversations with them. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast buffet, along with top-notch restaurants, bars, and a market. The quality of the food is superb, and while the prices are on the higher end, it is expected given the location and the effort to source fresh ingredients. Seating could be a bit chaotic especially on weekends. Marriott Bonvoy elite members can opt in for breakfast, and I highly recommend it over 1000 Bonvoy points. The amenities are excellent. The hotel conveniently takes our skis to Lionshead, saving us the hassle, even though it is only a short five-minute walk. The gym is well-equipped with various options, and there are refreshments like fruits and bottled water available. Valet parking, luggage services, and the check-in/check-out processes are all very streamlined and efficient. We had a little problem in using an Amex gift card. Julia, the front-desk manager has been instrumental in communication even after the checkout. Overall, our experience at the Hythe Luxury Collection was outstanding, and we will definitely return over and over again.
