Americas Best Value Sandman Inn

Shower head needs replacement, poor shower pattern and water flow is very loud. I’m sure it disturbed other guest.

Location

Other guests left their dog in their room. Continuous barking. The bathroom tub would not drain properly. I've stayed here before with other family members and had a great experience, but this time was very disappointing.

The bed was actually pretty comfortable.

Very dirty heater/ AC unit. The toilet has a hard time flushing. When I told the person at the front desk, they brought a plunger and "fixed" it and told me to keep the plunger in the restroom, had to use it multiple times.

I liked that it is pet friendly and close to everything in town. Also the property felt safe enough to let my dogs go potty late in the night and they have a good area with potty bags.

The front desk lady was not very friendly when I checked in. I had to ring the bell and then she acted "put out" when she appeared female thw side room. Also, we checked in and realized the refrigerator wasn't working so they moved us to another room. When we went to the front desk (15 min after our original check-in) she told us that she knew that room had a problem. The continental breakfast was strange... frozen egg and sausage patties in a mini fridge to be microwaved... cereal, bagels, muffins were available, but hard to make a real breakfast out of it...

The only thing they sent was the staff who checked us in other than the staff who I made arrangements with over the phone. Two young women definitely not the lady I encountered the morning of being disrespected. Who claimed to be the management.

including valuing their sleep, especially when they come from huge families and lives that are very busy and this is the only break they get.,. I strongly encourage whoever is making reservations here or considering. If you plan to get any rest and not be disturbed without hanging a sign, even if you're only staying one day, I'd stay motel. 8. They have all the same amenities, free breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub. They actually have cleaner rooms and a thousand times better customer service which is why I've always stayed at that place except for booking.com recommended Mr sandman inn which I will never say out again. And neither will any of my family.. And if I ever recommend somewhere for my family to stay, whether it's in La grande, Oregon or anywhere else, it'll always be the super 8. I've never been treated with disrespect there. I've never been told to leave and I'll always go back and that's why. Sorry Mr. Sandman inn you should probably get a little bit better management. I see why there's only a few cars in your parking lot and all the other hotels parking lots are packed. Step up your game cuz all your customers are stepping out. 😢 That's what happens when they don't feel valued

Mold in the corners in the bathroom. Strange odor throughout the entire motel. Just was not the best place to stay and definitely not worth $130+ a night!
