Loved the way they made you feel welcome and at home. Loved the breakfast they served and made. Shower was amazing and was just an overall great stay
Loved staying here!!!! The room was wonderful - the bed, pillows, and linens were so comfortable - we slept great. My husband was thrilled that they not only had air conditioning but a ceiling fan in the room. The private shower was ginormous and could fit 3 people. The breakfast was delicious! Bacon, eggs and potatoes. The decor was amazing. I loved all the artwork and it was in 3D too! The owners were so nice. I want to move in here. I totally felt pampered. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate! I'm going to figure out more reasons for coming to Emporium so I can stay here again! :)
Great stay! Jim was really nice and helpful and he cooked us a great breakfast. We stayed in the Grove room and I'd happily stay at the hotel and in that room again.
Beautifully renovated home. No expense spared. Right in the lovely town of emporium pa. Elegant breakfasts. Much artwork on the walls to explore as well as antique furniture to be amazed by. And the porch is a great way to wind down with a glass of wine after a long day of exploring and hiking the glorious parks that surrounds rhe town. A must visit. Please note: this is not a handicapped accessible home. Many stairs to maneuver.
One of my best accommodation experience, the house is decorated like a micro museum with plenty of Edison's invention which not only as decorations, but also usable. Cannot tell which one is more impressive to me, 3D painting, classical light bulb, phonograph (my first time play around real phonegraph !). I feel the owner's passion for life and really enjoy the peaceful in this creative and lovely paradise. The free breakfast is the best breakfast I have ever take in US, the best chef in the town!
Nice place to stay, friendly staff, BEAUTIFUL house and room. My only complaint was that it was noisy all night because they are starting a restaurant and we’re in the kitchen doing dishes and yelling.
Lovely and clean. We were very pleased with our room at The Hygrade Inn. It was unique, comfortable and very charming. Free on-street parking right in front of the building. The only downside is that the rooms are on the second floor, and the only way to get there is up the stairs. There is no handicap way to get to the rooms. Otherwise, we would highly recommend it.

Very clean, friendly owners
My wife and i stayed here for a stargazing road trip. I was prepared for a rustic room but was pleasantly surprised to walk into a very tastefully decorated room with a beautiful bathroom. Bed was clean and comfortable. We met the owner,Jim, who couldn't do enough for us. The gift shop carried items not usually found in these kinds of shops. All in all we had a great time and our stay at the Hygrade was a part of that good time!!!
