Montage Laguna Beach

This is a beautiful Resort. We had a room with an ocean view, king size bed. Servers, Housekeeping, everyone was extremely helpful and well informed. Food was great. Yes, it’s expensive. It’s a resort. Prices are always high on food and drink at resorts. It’s really an unforgettable experience.

I am sad to be writing this review. I was so excited to go to this property after having an amazing experience at the montage is Cabo. Unfortunately, it missed the mark on nearly everything. I went with my mom and two young kids. Our morning flight was delayed so we arrived around 6pm. Check in was incredibly chaotic. The woman checking us in kept repeating herself and asking the same questions over and over and just seemed super overwhelmed. Eventually she got us checked in and walked us to our room but it was clear she had no idea where she was going. She left us standing outside on a sidewalk while “made sure she knew where our room was.” Another major issue was with housekeeping. There were multiple days that we would come back from the pool or an activity at 2 or 3pm and our room still was not cleaned. We had to ask for it to be cleaned almost everyday. There was also one night when housekeeping knocked on our door at 9pm at night for turn down service. We were already in bed and it was super disruptive. The service was just off the entire time. One night I went to get a drink at the bar and I sat at the bar for 5 mins before someone acknowledged me despite the fact that there were multiple people working behind the bar. The food was overall fine but we had one horrible room service experience- I ordered hamburgers for my kids and they took one bite and spit them out. They were charred to a crisp and completely inedible. The property is stunning and the rooms are nice but the price does not at all match the experience.

The whole resort and our room had breathtaking views of the Pacific. The rooms were spacious and luxurious. The staff was fantasic and the cuisine at the Mediterranean restuarnat was outstanding. We are on roll this was our 2nd Montage Resort we stayed at and plan to visti all of them.

Main pool had lot of children, would be better to have younger children and the loudness on the other pool.

Visited the hotel on a business trip. Truly the nicest place I have ever stayed. At check-in was greeted with a choice of water, wine or sparkling wine. When I room was available - my bags were already there and guest services actually walked me to the room to make sure everything was in order. Room was beautiful. I realized I forgot my toothbrush as I was unpacking. I didn't even have to call downstairs as there were new toothbrushes already in the drawer. That evening went to look for ice on my room. An associate not only insisted to get it for me but EVERY DAY after that when I returned from our meetings there was ice in my room. Such a sweet touch. I had slippers by my bed in the evening and turn-down service. I was incredible. Food was amazing. Views are incredible. Definitely would love to stay here again.

Best overall hotel/resort experience in my life. Incredible, caring staff in a spectacular location and facility. Not too big, not too small --just perfect. The beach, the coves, the views, all fantastic. Hats off the this Montage Resort.

You can’t help but relax when visiting this property but a couple of “shout-outs” to some of the staff. Excellent service from Johnny at The Loft restaurant for the morning shift, Kody working the Lobby Lounge at night and Kayvon during the day…. Great attitude, attention and personality from all three. Great job.

Beautiful resort, feels like an escape to Hawaii in California. Food, service and rooms are all incredible, views are stunning and everything is meticulously kept. Laguna is a lovely town with great vibes. Highly recommend Montage if you’re in the area!

I recently celebrated my birthday with my daughters and friends at the Montage Laguna Beach. It was perfection from beginning to end . Shout outs to Danielle and Karin in the spa who helped organize every detail- from multiple spa appointments ( Lindsay provided a fantastic facial!) , welcome Prosecco, amazing ocean view rooms and warm treatment by all staff members we encountered . Asher made our poolside lunch so enjoyable - thanks Asher! What a wonderful getaway it was ! We will be back . Thank you!!

a short business trip was a good opportunity to enjoy the resort and its surroundings. the staff was very kind and helpful

We came to the Montage's Mosaic grill for a pre-Valentine's Day lunch. It could not have been a better experience. Not only is the Montage in one of the most beautiful places in California, if not the world, the food was delicious and Dee, our server, was amazing. She made us feel like family.
