Great, quiet hotel in a convenient location!

Pros: Location is great. Hotel next door assisting during off hours is great. Cleaning people are great. Parking is easy. Price is lower so value is there. Cons: Too much noise can be heard from the room above as people walk around. My cell service (Verizon) was very bad (not the fault of the hotel). The wifi signal was also inconsistent and weak. The room itself needs a small chair and table for laptop. The room has only a chaise lounge. No mini table or desk.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Movie Colony Hotel in Palm Springs. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The location is fantastic—just a few blocks from downtown, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a charming patio and a cosy pool area that made it a joy to relax. Waking up to the sound of singing birds every morning was a nice treat too! The staff is kind, always smiling and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to Nate, the Operations Manager, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He kindly upgraded me to a lovely suite to accommodate my longer stay, and it made all the difference. My only regret? Having to leave. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great trip! Nate and staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. From delivering ice cream cups to the pool to wine/cheese hour to checking in on guests, they made sure everyone was taken care of. The limited hours of the office were a little annoying, but their sister property next door is open all the time and can help. The rooms could use a little maintenance (dresser door didn’t want to stay shut, lower part of door seal didn’t line up and door knob didn’t always latch). It should be noted we didn’t bring this up to the office because we were out and about a lot, and forgot to at checkout. We will stay here again!

The location was great and the room was spacious with a bonus balcony.

The breakfast could be improved. I also noticed during each of my recent stays that pool cleaning takes place around 10am, making the pool unavailable at that time. Some of the furniture was worn and had visible stains.

The location is excellent. In walking distance to excellent restaurants, bars, shopping, and a local park. The staff are very friendly (at the hotel and their sister hotel across the road where you check-in after 5pm). Totally enjoyed the pool and spa. Very quiet space and, as other reviews have noted, feels like living in a private house or compound. Check-in was very easy. Great free parking. Excellent neighborhood. Good vibe all around.

Not a tragedy but it would have been fab to avail of the wine and cheese hour but it only lasts 30 minutes (4-4:30 ahead of the front desk closing). A later and/or wider window of opportunity would have been sweet. Alternatively, maybe they could offer it at the sister hotel so all could enjoy? Just a thought.
