Movie Colony Hotel - Adults Only

Great room. Had an ant problem in the bathroom but other than that, perfect.

The property itself is nice, quiet and private however we had issues with our room that was surprising to have. We had mosquitoes in the room and woke with bites. We had ants all over the restroom. On the morning of my checkout, I got into the shower and within a minute or so, a huge cockroach fell on my foot. I don't know if it was on the ceiling and did not see it or it was in the toiletries cubby hole. I had to jump out of the shower and use hairspray to get rid of it. As for the shower itself, the water temperature is not consistent. The water would stay cold and then suddenly come out boiling hot. Too hot to the point where it can seriously burn someone. On checkout, I did inform the manager (Nate) of my experience. I told him they need to fumigate and fix the shower. His response is that the insects are trying to get away from the summer heat. That response tells me that they are probably aware of having an insect issue. I was extremely disappointed at the end of our stay because when I got there, everything looked nice and was hoping to make that hotel one of my regular Palm Springs hotels to stay at.

The room was perfectly clean and I don't know what reviews on Google were saying about bugs around the pool because of the trees but I had absolutely zero problems with that. The room was beautifully decorated and laid out, the 2 story room experience was wonderful. The people at the front desk were very kind and helpful. I was there on a Tuesday so maybe that's why but it was very quiet and I barely saw anybody else even though I know there were other rooms occupied. Which I loved. The entire experience was perfectly divine!

Umm...I suppose the mattress could have been softer? I slept great. Another pod of coffee would have been swell. These aren't even really complaints, honestly. I liked everything.

We love Movie Colony Hotel. This was our 2nd stay. It's a quiet, cute, well located refurbished hotel. Great value, very friendly, and a perfect little getaway from LA.

Excellent staff. Noisy next door room quests were rude making noise after returning back to the hotel after partying in town.Other then that a pleasant stay.The continental breakfast sadly was not as good as it used to be. If you can book here in the off season to enjoy the place without the party crowd.That is to be expected at an adults only hotel.
