Ocean Hotel

The hotel was lovely, but the food was pretty pricy. We ate at the Banana Leaf the second night which was in the mall near the metro stop. That was awesome. There was not much to do nearby but it was a nice clean and spacious area.

The room that I stayed could hear the lift dinging sound all night. Sound proofing is terrible. Check-in assistant was not very friendly and black face all the while. Seems not very welcome guess. The room was extremely hot due to high level of heat. Turn down the temperature but no air-con. For the hotel rates and rating, it is

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel has an excellent location, great friendly staff and decent room. Def. value for the money.

I am going to write actual incident of me slipping on floor and spraining my back. The wash basin (skin) drainage provided was of kind of pop open rather than operating through lever on faucet and was closed making water draining slowly. When doing the shaving and avoid collection of water in sink, I popped open the drain without realizing its other purpose having that kind of drainage (i.e., drain waste water drip by drip rather than flow) due to undersized or faulty drain. The floor below wash basin had another drain. On opening the drain on wash basin to allow water drain immediately, the water started coming out from floor drainage, which I was unaware and spilled on the floor. Just by running water around a minute, enough water came out from floor drainage and made me loose balance, slip and sprain by back which I am still suffering from last three days (luckily no severe injury happened). I am not aware, if this was problem was specifically for that guest room or hotel has undersized drain in that zone. Whatever is the condition, Hotel shall fix this so that other guest who dares to pop open the drain should not get into this trap. This may result into severe injury. Alternatively Hotel shall post warning about that condition. After the incident, upon calling room service and Assistant Manager, they immediately showed up and cleaned the area. Also, provided me with first aid.

Well the hotel was a bit of an oldie but it was clean and the service was good. Good one!

metro is at walking distance and many restaurants not far from hotel.

High class hotel

6 night stay for business. Great value. Very comfortable.

Stayed here several times and everything was great until this time... the room that I was given was on level 5 which stunk of mould. It was a terrible experience for the first 5 nights as it made me sick. I went to tell the receptionist and she found another room for me on the 26th floor which was fine. Everything else is fine as usual. Would probably stay there again as long as I don't stay on the 5th or 6th floor as the same smell is also in level 6.

Hotel is OK, I think the 100 USD I paid per night was a little high.
