Plas Dolguog

I requested breakfast to be at 8- and was there at 8 for it- but it wasn't served until 8.35 which made me later than i wanted to be- I actually would have readily had breakfast at 7 as i was up at 5.30...., bacon was the most well done i've ever had- but in general it was great.

Bacon done as much as it was- i like wll done bacon- but this was on another level!

We we lucky enough to have the gardens open to residents and public when we were there, which was a real treat. The room we stayed in 'Wagner' was a free upgrade because my missus prefers a bath, and all other rooms have walk in showers. The hotel/guest house is a 17th century building with all the quirkiness you might expect from this period. The heating was available throughout the night and with a thermostat could be adjusted to suit your comfortable temperature. The full and varied breakfast was included in the price and there was no extra charge for our pet.

Didn't like having to leave. This is probably one of the best stays we have had ever!

Stunning location, beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable room. We loved the decor and the calm tranquil gardens. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast tasty and so much choice.

Great place to stay. Great staff, Great Room, with a small balcony looking out to the hills, free Airshow (RAF Training Jets) in the morning over the house (The Mach Loop!), Breakfast was fantastic, best I can recall. Easy to find, easy access, walking distance to the town (1 mile, so you need to like walking, but we did!). The sun was shining in March which was a real bonus!

Great location (we walked into Machynlleth and it only took about 20mins) and quirky characterful property. Everything was spotlessly clean and the freshly cooked breakfast was amazing! The self check in and out worked really well for us. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

There were no towels in the room on arrival but I called the number provided and this was very quickly rectified.

Had a different breakfast everyday off the menue. Enjoyed all the 4 breakfast. Had the coach house to our self during our stay which was pleasant for us & our dog, very relaxing. The hosts were very helpfull & made it an enjoyable stay. Happy to take our dog.

There was nothing that we did not like.
