The staff were excellent and tried their best.

Infrastructure was not in place for the money. There was no water most of the time and no hot water. The room was misrepresented on the website. Stated and showed pictures there was a fridge microwave, hairdryer, coffeemaker, toaster. There was absolutely nothing. Pool was slimey and dirty and unsafe to use. They were to pick us up as there was no transportation to the hotel but no one showed. We had to phone and after a few attempts a local gave us a ride. We were told not to bring food, but that day the chef left and we were brought to our restaurant, but not returned back to our property. We left on the beach next door and had to walk up and walk over about 10 minutes. No one informed us that’s what we were going to do. absolutely no acknowledgement or take responsibility for this. This hotel just take your totally over paid money and does not give you what you paid for.

Quality of food prep was inconsistent.

This place is a real paradise, if you look for a real rest moment and disconnect from the world, this is the best lodge we find to do that and we’ve been traveling a lot ! The staff is incredible, Marlen and Andres are doing crazy stuff to eat, best chicken wrap in the world but also more elaborate plates like fish and seafood not so expansive with regards to the freshness ! David, Pedro and Tyrel are there to help you on everything you need ! Authentic heaven on earth. The private beach offers incredible wildlife experience (pelicans, deers, flying fishes,…). The suite has a stunning terrasse. Marlen & David organized a fantastic fire camp for Christmas Eve. We opt for the virgines island tour (4 hours - 3 islands), with only 2 other persons with us, which was perfect. We are so thankful for these three amazing nights spent in the lodge. We will come back tomorrow again after trying 2 days in contadora

it theory is nice. the pool was definitely not clean, it didn’t look like had a chemical cleaning in long time. the construction noise was unbearable, there was not water in the rooms at night, overall outside the rooms, terraces etc didn’t look very clean.

1. expensive food, limited traditional/fresh options, for example: I ordered an avocado toast for breakfast and it had packaged guacamole (that you can buy in grocery stores) smeared ok a bread instead of fresh avocado. portions were small and overly priced. the seafood was frozen and they did not have fresh catch. 2. while staff were superclovely, they were not good managers. They let a boat person rip us off and they simply watched and enabled it. 3. The beach in front of this place is not at all something you want to use to swim. it’s full of trash and they dont clean it, and due to very high rise and lowering of the tide, it is super rocky and unclean.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 3 nights. The pros: -this is a small hotel and feels quite homey; no long walks to places, staff often brought our meals to our room, and it was easy to befriend other guests -the hotel is very beautifully designed and we enjoyed our room balcony, the pool area, and the yoga/sun deck -the staff were friendly and attentive, particularly Tyrel and Zuly -if you can, take advantage of the island tour; this really made the trip worthwhile The cons: -with it being a small hotel, only 4 people were working during our time there. That means that all people do all things, and therefore you can’t expect consistency across your stay. For example, we ordered the same breakfast for all 3 mornings we were there, but on the first morning we received 2 pancakes, on the 2nd morning 1 pancake, and on the 3rd morning literally half a pancake. -related to this point, it seems the hotel could use a manager. It wasn’t clear if they had one, and it looked like staff roles could be better coordinated. -the beach at the hotel itself is good for watching the sunset and hearing the relaxing sound of waves crashing, but not much else. It’s pretty small for walking if the tide is up, and the water just isn’t appealing. There was also a lot of trash washed up on the shore, including glass. Like I mentioned earlier, the best is to take the island tour. I was disappointed by this, since I wanted to spend more time in the ocean. -bring bug spray!

Muy bien ubicado en la playa y en medio de la naturaleza, en un bosque tropical. Perfecto para relajarse. Seria bueno que cortaran almenos algunas ramas de los arboles frente a la habitacion para poder ver el mar, que ahora esta' completamente escondido (solo se escucha el ruido de las olas).

it was a great ecperience to stay at this island that is so peaceful and beautyful. The staff consist of Marlen and het sond David and Andres and they really do everythingnto comfort their guests. They all are very sweet and Marlen is a great chef in the kitchen. We wish them all the best!

We could not find a good snorkelspot but on the ferry back we heard that there is one: the rock in front of the sailing school. And the bugs are very bad!
