Casa Amarela

Location was great.

Only 1 fan for the entire apartment during hot days we had to continuously move the fan. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 5 night stay for a family of 3. We had to buy our own. No dish soap. We had to buy our own. The day before we checked out we followed all the requests from the owner. We washed and put away our dishes, took out any excessive garbage (they state they will take care of what is left in the bin). We tried to do a full tidy and put all the towels in the bathtub to keep it easy. The day we check out we received a incredibly nasty and unprofessional message blaming us for damages that were there when we arrived, as well as claiming we lied to them about taking out the garbage. They attacked my partner and I took it to a personal level, claiming we shouldn't be parents and are bad people. Completely baseless and unacceptable in opinion.

A good one bedroom apartment for a short stay - about 15 mins walk from centre/riverfront (uphill on way back so it helps if you like walking which we did!). Building attractively renovated but some furnishings/facilities in the apartment could be better. Jose who let us in helpful and friendly, and it was easy to contact host Eliana.

Appartamento grande e funzionale

De locatie, centrum op loopafstand, ca half uurtje tot aan centrum/ de Douro. Goede communicatie met verhuurder. Defecte koffie machine werd gelijk vervangen. In overleg kon de bagage op de laatste dag op de kamer blijven tot aan vetrek naar luchthaven.

Kamers aan de voorkant liggen aan redelijk drukke weg. Maar verder niet wakker van gelegen ;)

Spacious apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Good location.

Very nice apartment with a balcony overlooking the Praca Republica. The apartment's within walking distance of the city centre, although Porto's very hilly, so walking back from town could be a challenge if you've any issues with your joints or knees. Public transport options are excellent; there's a bus stop right outside the door, and a big metro station 5 minutes walk away. All in all, very satisfied with our accommodation.

Porto is a very hilly city, and the apartment is located at the top of a pretty steep incline from the city centre, so although the apartment is located close to the city centre, walking back to it from town can be a bit arduous. Having said that, there are plenty of public transport options, and taxis/Ubers are also pretty cheap.

Casa Amarela is gorgeous! We would gladly move in and live there.
