Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful garden and nature: great place to watch the sunset and the river walk to the Xunantunich ruins ferry is really nice. Heard the howler monkeys while sitting in the garden (and saw them across the river) and saw multiple toucans and hummingbirds. Room was fine. Bed comfortable and good temperature. Owner is really friendly and helpful. Cute dogs around. Food is delicious, dinner at really good price. Definitely recommend. I really hope one day I'll be able to come back to this little paradise.

Just be aware there isn't much sound isolation between rooms so you can hear the neighbors. And there was a loud humming noise going on and off that kinda disturbed the peace in my room. One night the portion size of dinner was really small (delicious though!) Luckily loads of ice cream for dessert lol.

Dominique est très sympathique. Les repas sont délicieux et peu chers. L ambiance à la ferme est très agréable et calme.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming farm-side hotel and truly can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, Dominic, the owner, made me feel completely at home. He’s incredibly easy to talk to—friendly, relaxed, and just a genuinely fun person to chat with. On top of that, he’s an excellent cook. The meals were not only delicious but also very reasonably priced, which made dining there a real highlight of my stay. What really stood out was how attentive and helpful he and the staff were. Dominic helped me arrange a smooth transfer to the water taxi in Belize, which took a lot of stress out of my travel plans. At one point, I even found a frog in my room (welcome to nature!), and he immediately came to take care of it—no hesitation at all. The setting is absolutely beautiful. The hotel is located on a farm, surrounded by lush nature. Walking along the riverside was peaceful and refreshing, and waking up to birds chirping and howler monkeys in the distance was such a unique and memorable experience. The location is also fantastic—very close to Xunantunich. I was able to walk there easily, which made exploring the site even more enjoyable. Another moment that impressed me was their flexibility and kindness. After a day of cave tubing, I needed my laundry done quickly before departure, and the staff went out of their way to make it happen in time. That level of care really meant a lot. I’m so glad I chose to stay here instead of in San Ignacio. The natural surroundings here are far more beautiful and immersive, making the whole experience feel special and relaxing. All in all, this place offers not just a stay, but a genuine experience—warm hospitality, great food, and a stunning natural setting. Highly, highly recommended.

One small downside: the walls are a bit thin, and I could hear loud snoring from the room next door one night 🙂. That said, it wasn’t a big issue for me—I just put on my AirPods and slept fine.

Dominic and the Nabitunich personnel are very kind and eager to share all the possible tips to enjoy and get around Belice. The grounds are lush green and with a wide variety of ornamental plants, and from this lodge you can even look at the tip of the Castillo at the Xunantunich archeological site. The breakfast was delicious and you have a set up for coffee, tea and cookies in your room. The room and bathroom are kept clean and well-equipped.

Bear in mind that this place is a farm, so don't be surprised by the roosters crowing very early in the morning. I have nothing against it as I'm an early riser myself, but my friend wasn't to keen on that.

The property is simply beautiful. Well-maintained landscaping with native plants attract hummingbirds galore! The cottages are simple, clean, and comfortable. Air conditioning and hot water work fine. Breakfast each day was excellent. It’s an easy drive into Benque. Additionally, there are a number of opportunities for hiking/walking right on the property. This is a hidden gem and I truly enjoyed my stay!

Our stay at Nabitunich was amazing; what an idyllic spot to recharge from busy long days of exploration. Returning back to the farm every day was something to look forward to, with gorgeous views of the jungle at sunset, being greeted by the lovely farm dog basking in the sun (I loved her), surrounded by sounds of the jungle. The room supplied everything we needed and was pristine. Beyond all else we appreciated the genuine helpfulness of the staff. Dominic went above and beyond to help us find transportation and was very knowledgeable and kind. The rest of the staff were all extremely attentive, friendly, and made some amazing fresh breakfasts. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting San Ignacio!

The birds are so amazing but its hard to bring heavy binoculars. It would be lovely to have a working binocular. Otherwise we were so pleased with everything and the hosts could not have been kinder or more welcoming.
