We really liked the location of the hotel, which made it easy for us to get around in solvang. We also enjoyed the fun perks and discounts that the hotel itself gave for staying at the location.

Did not like that guest kept trying to open our door as well as that you could hear others in their room.

You can't beat the location right in the middle of town and it's walkable to just about everything. The room was spacious and comfortable with a comfy clean bed.

The facilities are clearly dated and run down. The "breakfast" is coffee and ONE pastry - a sign said to limit yourself. Also it's the strangest hotel room layout I've ever seen, with the door from outside entering directly into the bathroom. Not deal breakers, but they are areas of improvement.

We had a lovely 1 night stay here on our California road trip and I can't fault the hotel or the staff we encountered at all. The room was huge, bed comfortable and there was a coffee maker and fridge in the room. The pool looked lovely and inviting but we didn't have time to make use of it. Parking was right outside the room and was free. Breakfast was also complimentary, and was just a very basic choice of a Danish pastry or sachets of oatmeal, plus coffee. Located right in the heart of this pretty and quirky little town, so no shortage of places to eat and drink within a short stroll away. We loved it!

The location of the property was perfect for downtown walking. Clean room. Good customer service.

The price of the room was a costly, but understand you pay for the location. It was a little noisy you could hear people coming and going with key cards, but that happens with all hotels. This one is older so you hear more.
