Motel 6-Winnie, TX

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property needs major updating, the ceiling in my room was falling apart. The exterior could use a major pressure washing and exterminater as it was covered with spiders everywhere.

The size of the room . The great price we got.

The location was great, being that I had business right down the road. The air conditioner worked good. Was happy that there was a mini fridge and microwave that worked. Also, pets were allowed without an extra charge. I was traveling with small dogs. The booking was a good discount.

I tried multiple times over the week before my reservation to contact Motel 6 to confirm that I had a ground floor room being that I am disabled and cannot climb stairs. I needed an early check in as well. I never heard back from them. When I get to the desk at 8 am, no one was there. There was a sign with a phone number to call if no one was at the desk. No one answered. After about 10 min a woman came came in from a back door. She obviously just woke up. Hair was uncombed, and she was in pajamas. There was just 1 room left on ground floor. I was fortunate for that. When I got to the room, it was not very clean. Corners of the walls had cobwebs, floor was dusty, toilet bowl had algae ring, and the TV didn't work. I had to go to the front desk to ask for assistance to turn the cable on. I have to say I got what I paid for.
